Expanding Tileset Capabilities
No, seriously... my last post on this didnt get replies, so I'm going to try again. I think that Graal's tileset capabilities should be expanded. Making it so you can map functions for tiles on a seperate image using RGB or web color codes would be a really good addition to tilesets. Then you could run the tileset image and the tileset map image through some sortof converter to make it one file.
I also think that a tiledef be added where you can have drawoverplayer tiles. I have a sidesuggestion, but I think it's kindof offtopic to the tileset theme so I'll start another thread. |
well, here's my half a cent:
First off, elaborating on your first idea, because I don't quite fallow your meaning. Secondly, drawtilesoverplayer would be more feasable as a second tileboard, in wich the tiles can have transparent values. This would be above the player and could be kept empty of tiles. The only problem is because npcs can imitate this effect (and showimgs with less lag), so it probably wont be added. Lastly, its probably better if you merge all your ideas into one thread and title it your incredible edible sugestions, or something. |
Tiles are the ONLY thing that you cannot do away with in Graal...
Why not make the tiling system better? |
well, you can hide them pretty damn well. its not like there is much of a need......

Adding new features to the tileset is just a bonus idea. |
