I have asked Tseng if it can be made private because there are not a lot of players right now

I mean, he could shut down all other servers besides 2001...but that is only taking the easy way out. |
The kind of help that we need right now is development. I am currently in search of a level maker or two, so hopefully I will be able to find some help soon and production will be able to speed up... Problem is... I'm super-picky... Which is also a good thing. :)

mehh...
Bring back old bodies/hp/sword system, use GK's kingdoms (that way GK can be Graal's story in the future, and G2k1 can be graal's story in the past...), bring back Chris Kill'em, make G2K1 like it was around the spring or late winter of 2001...and go from there (re-adding some of the good things like cows...and bomy moon, and not the bad things like dbz scouters), organize the global player images (shields/swords/heads) to how they were 2 years ago (unless they're fine already like it was back then), and you have yourself a game. Easy recipe. And it's not random-alchemy either.

heh i dont think i made it ;),

I could probably Help with 2k1, But I don't know if it would be wasted effort. |
Errm... That's kinda stupid. Since the server is private again, you should try and make it different. Instead of all the old stuff, why not add an EXP system? I mean, you have the baddies and all, just add an EXP system and jobs and such, that way people can't change their jobs when in a kingdom. Also, DO NOT make the EXP system like the one on GK, it's stupid, and if you have a class, don't sell spells and ****, when people level up, they should be able to learn them. Also, make stats go up as the player levels, and don't make them have to level each catagory separately. MAKE 2K1 THE NEW PROVIDENCE!
|
Personally I like the new bodies... I think the regular ones are too stumpy... Good to add a nostalgic feel.
|
But the old ones move and fight so fluidly and good.
The new ones are clunky and annoying to fight with. And, I hate the idea of g2k1 + exp and stats. It would end up being a shoddy copy of Kingdoms, superimposed over an economy and community based server, making an ugly monster of a server. Unless g2k1 was completly redone, and in that case - it would no longer be g2k1. |
Is there going to be another reset on it?

That would be great if we had a good EXP system on there. Maybe make it so that once you reach certain levels, you can learn different types of skills. Like, you get rewarded for leveling up kind of. And have more monsters, the bones, and cyclops things are kind of annoying.
What I'm thinking of those, is having another menu where you have different spells for different ammounts of exp or levels ie: ------------------------ |EXP| LEVEL| SPELL| ------------------------- |## | ## | NAME| |## | ## | NAME| |## | ## | NAME| |## | ## | NAME| |## | ## | NAME| ------------------------ | Accept | Decline | ------------------------ You click the spell you want, and if your exp is high enough and your level is high enough, and you want the spell, click the spell and press accept. If you don't want it press decline and it exits the menu. Get to the menu by going to a skill/spell shop. Or through another gui. |
