File upload problem.

On Unholynation, when saving text documents in which the letters of the filename are capitalized, they proceed to be saved again, but as a document with all lower case letters. The case-sensitive filename is needed for local guilds. The picture attached should make it more clear as to what I mean.

Happend on Vendetta too, but you should be able to rename it in capital letters.

Also on ProjectR though i thought it was because of the text program i was saving it with? (i use textpad, not note, or wordpad)

Yeah, I know. It sucks...takes 2 seconds longer than it should.

I use wordpad for text files because the line breaks aren't actually implemented online when notepad is used.

happens on graal kingdoms too

Alright, now we know it is an RC problem and it will be fixed soon, whenever Stefan gets the chance, hopefully.

it is probably because linux tends to like lowercase rather than uppercase.

I don't like editing it while it's on the server. It's simply too dangerous, as too many things can go wrong.

Download -> Edit -> Upload

is how I always do it.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but I felt it needed to be brought back to attention.

The only way I can get the uppercase letters where I need them is when I rename the file after uploading. This only seems to be happening in my guilds folder for some reason. If someone would bring this to the attention of someone who can actually handle this (Stefan), it would be appreciated. Thanks.

If the guild name is lower case you can make it upper case, can't you? When you set your nick.

Nope.

It is because of Stefan's fix to all the folders.. everything uploaded gets set to all lowercase to fix problems with heads & stuff, but he made it happen on the guilds folder too. He mentioned fixing it in the future.

Hmm, This hasn't been fixed? Happens to me now to. Very annoying. :(
