Snowy SL
1 Attachment(s)
Shaded Legend has joined in on the winter festivities with it's own snow tileset and snowball npcs. Press f to collect snowballs while standing on snow then use arrow keys to aim where you want to throw them. Soon, when finished, paths will be slippery so you slide on them and snowflakes will fall.

Looks and sounds nice. :D
Keep up the good work. |
It kind of looks odd with the black outlines on the snow covered stuff... but I guess you would need that so the covering-snow parts wouldn't blend with the ground snow. ;P Looks neat, I dont get why only the grass parts are covered in snow, and not the dirt parts... XP

Thanks for stealing Classic's tree tops. I'm absolutely amazed at the number of people who can't make graphics for themselves. If they can get in trouble for doing what they've done, they should. This is the second playerworld to do something like this. How many more will follow?
Edit: Oh wow, no doubt someone will say... "They're not identical!", and they're not. However, they're CLEARLY copied. Edit2: After going on their server, it becomes even more blatantly obvious that they stole the tileset and modified it, claiming it as their own. This is very sad... get people to do your work for you, not steal others. |

Edit: I see default tileset on classic.. |
It has to download, obviously, it's not something that happens instantaneously.

Odd... I'll delete mine and restart Graal to see if it downloads again for me.
Edit: They almost instantly redownloaded for me. If it still won't work for you, I can email the image to you if you'd like. |
Yeah, seems like the Lewis person took it and just changed the patterns. Sigh, how annoying. I'll make sure a good conversation is held with him next time he is seen. Hopefully this can be changed quickly.
|
Yeah... I talked to Ben about it as well. Thanks for actually handling the situation nicely instead of doing as others might have... (Saying it's not copied and ignore further communication or something.)
|
When I first noticed when Lewis was working on it, it did seem a bit identical to classics and i asked him if he copied it and he said something like he was staring it then went on classic and noticed it was similar but just went on with his work anyway. Belived it at first but after it turned out the way it did I dont.

Looks cool :O
..The roofs look a little..odd, though. |
ooo =O
looks cool :) +_' |
Its all out war. *Makes the best snow system* lol. Everyone took my good idea.
|
Eh, I just went on Rudora and noticed that some of the grass details that Lewis made are practically identical to their counterparts on Rudora. How sad. We'll go redo the tileset.
Because of this mess, the snow tileset is bringing me... unhappy thoughts. o_o |
What are you talking about? You all stole MY idea! I was the first guy to make snow/ice tiles... :\
As far as I know anyway. XP I'm 87% sure I was the first. |
Actually, 2 years ago on SL, we just made area0 snowy, due to the fact that tilesets were only allowed on P2P servers back then, and SL was a free server.
Also, the slippery paths NPC and the snow are just as old. ;) |

Yes, last year wasn't that great..
O' Christmas tree, O' Christmas tree.. |
To the people commenting as if this was about them simply making a snow tileset: you don't have a clue what you're talking about. This was about clearly using Classic's tileset as a template, and in fact keeping a lot of the same designs in places.

My apologies for this, we will remove the winter tileset immediately.

And you stole slippery paths from us. :( Lando will not be happy. (Lando, by the way, made the slippery paths, and is the god of scripting.) |
Lando is an Excelent Scripter, Assured that a slippery path is nothing.
He has made some wonderful things. |

*whips up comparison chart*
The lame pun at the end is the result of being bored while using Google image search. |
