So make some cool weather-system. It doesn't snow all the winter buddies, it rains to, or just nothing, and fog etc.

Oh, and make it stop snowing in maps and castles xD

I think snow in maps has been stopped. Also, you can say 'disable snow' and 'enable snow' to do just that.

I agree with the weather-system though. I'd also like some effects, minor ones, like you catch a cold when it's raining, and freeze in the snow and such...

Yeah, great ideas and all, but once it gets too complex like that, it begins to take its toll on the npcserver.

i dont have lag problems in snow... so i wont have lag in rain!
i m not even lagginf near bile altar, at the square whereits raining and snowing at the same time now :megaeek:

it would be nice if the sky would turn darker ewvery now and then and it would start rainig... just for fun

I'd say weather might be nice, but a day/night system would be just as nice. I mean cmon, 2k1 had it, so it cant be -that- hard to implement. You could make it realtime, if you want, or make it so that night-time comes every say 2-4 realtime hours...

Night and day would add more roleplay element than weather, in my opinion. Like, you could roleplay reduced vision and sneaking up on people and sneaking around, or an attack of an army in the dark. Also, monsters could become stronger when it's dark, or monsters such as the HH or dungeon monsters could appear around the HH or dungeons, as if like...they're confident to emerge from their hidy-holes when it's dark :)

Yes weather system would be possible, we made several plans for snow and rain, with 'clouds' so only parts of the maps have snow. Problem is that this can be quite slow on the old exe (v2, see the lightning spell), and it often requires light effects, so some people would see a sunny day while other people see night and lighning. So we thought of waiting till v3 is the standard, then we can add quite nice weather without slowing down the client too much.

Also, IamFlinder (Driken) got ag0ny's items but he also got his own back (he wasn't hacked..) so he has many items now (such as 4 RoW's, etc.) which is pretty stupid. Restores should only happen if REALLY needed because things like this can happen.

Exactly what i was thinking, GraalV3 always has light effects and is really good while playing GK with all it's advanced stuff, so when GraalV3 is standard there could be things like day/night, weather system, and even a calendar systems with events and holidays.

Yes, dragon X i know...... I worked for my stuff i had before a pheniox helm and i was gonna trade you but i didn't have the shield so you wouldn't. i worked and traded alot of things for my stuff i traded a war axe and some other stuff for other stuff and that is how i got my items, then one day they just disappeared i dont know what happend to them i dunno if i got hacked or anything, i want then back they were only a fhom+6 and hsod+6, yes they are good items but they are not like row's or ros's or a war hammer or anything like that. There are some spots where you can still dig up corn... I think arround the west dungeon entrance is one...
