New Forum Time

It's great minute-wise, and only 2 hours early hour-wise!

Nudge the offset 2 hours, and we'll be great. :D

Sigh. This is a new situation - the other threads are not applicable. Think before mocking me, please?

The other threads are directly related to the topic of this one.

Not really? It's an entirely different problem, caused by the adjustment made to suit the old computer (which was 2 hours off).

The forums clock has always been off, and will contune.

You don't get it.

Forum computer time was two hours fast -> They moved the offset back two hours to account for it.

Forums were moved to new computer with accurate clock -> The offset is still two hours back, but combined with the proper computer time, the displayed time is two hours slow.

Once the offset is fixed again, everything will be good. :)

The clock was always off. The fixed it once, and it gradually becomes farther and farther away from the true time for some reason.

Server time wrong > Offset changed to make it more accurate (GMT is -2 instead of -0) > Server time fixed > Forum offset incorrect as its -2 when it should be -0. Making it incorrect again.(I think)

Tseng maybe forumPM Galen, he has been on quite frequently, may be a good idea to get it done asap.

It would be nice if the forum clocks were fixed, but does it matter? Like excal said they ahve always been off. I understand that the computers switched, but what is wrong with watching that clock in the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen? Or are you that worried about the posting times?

Sometimes it helps to know around what time someone posted. At least the "two hours off" is a step in the right direction.

zell12 12-16-2003 11:33 PM

Yeah, I don't realy get what the big deal is. The clock is wrong, so what. You must have about 5 in your house, and one visable right now.

All times are GMT +2. The time now is 02:36 PM.
