-They're actually good!

ive got a few good suggestions!

ok! for one: a... refinery i guess it would be? that usees the jewler skill to craft... like 25 rubys into 1 ruby of great value, 20 rubies of great value into whatever's next and so on!

i'd like to have this very much ^_^

also!!! its been said before, New Monsters... i know that graphics need to be made for them but there IS a lot of gfx makers throughout graal that im sure would be more than happy to help out... NOT NEW MAP MONSTERS Kingdom dungeons!! with 1 kingdom boss in each dungeon, similar to lords... Dustari could have a Dragon , Forest a Troll , Zormite, sometype of evil Fish Monster , Pirates a Ghost and samurai could have a Giant serpant(maybe a bassilisk :megaeek: )

then fill it in with goblins, trolls, and a couple other monsters with similar stats to dievels and wolves and the normal dungeon monsters

The recipes requiring "Helmet" and "Shoes" start working with like silver warrior helmet and golden pawn helmet!!!! (and full helmets get craftable!) i mean you can use any eye you find to make an eye shield so why cant you use any helmet or boots?

And for what? There's no use for these improved gems. I'd rather see something to improve rings and weapons with, at the expense of gems, let's say you can fill a slot with "resist fire +x" for x² rubies and a diamond or something like that. Different combinations for different resistances would apply. Maybe have the same system for armour? As for negativity, you could have it so that for each positive resistance you get, there's a chance to get a negative one in an opposite (fire->cold) or random resistance, up to half the positive one - so if you do fire +10, you might end up with an additional cold -5.

I agree that more armour should be craftable (and balanced). Have gloves and bracers craftable, in plain design, just to take the rare edge of them.

Yes - as far as I know it's a saphire of great value among other ingredients to make a RoF into a RoC. I never tried it, and heard both that it worked and that it didn't. Who'd risk a ring higher than a RoF or maybe a RoC for that, given there's a chance of slag even if the recipe exists? Also, if you could produce great values and exceptional beauties that easily, they wouldn't be rare anymore, defying the point of improving rings - it shouldn't be harder to obtain the ring than to max it out to RoW.

Ever tried? I didn't, and only heard rumors about the recipes. Certainly, you can workbench rings in crossfire, and get these recipes from their sourcecode, but will they work in GK? I doubt it, as CF has something called jeweler_workbench. While there may be recipes, they are likely to differ, and I for one wouldn't sacrifice a RoC on these 'ifs'. Okay, a RoF maybe, but as far as I heard it requires a con-stat-potion, and I got better use for one of these.
Anyway, while great values and exceptional beauties may be of use now or, rather, in the future, I think the possibility to "craft them up" would defy the point of items being rare and upgrades hard to achieve.

You can only get up to RoS / RoHM. The reson it's like how it is, is because on CF, one normally picks up 4-15 stat potions on a dungeon trip. You can easily get maxed out once you hit level 30 (Well it was easy for me on Gaea[Brigid]) and most people have about 20-50 extra potions of each type. That's why improve stat scrolls and improving rings is so expensive, but for the best you'll have to find them.

Also, to my knowledge, you can trade plats for diamonds in every shop in CF - some things in apartments require tens of thousands of diamonds to activate (i.e. a small altar). The whole system differs from the GK one, starting with huge shops versus crafting. There's no sense in comparing these two,

It's alchemy, and if jeweler_workbench-stuff works in the cauldron, it's rather luck I'd say. Also, I've never heard of that helmet ot the name (I heard many names of the gord, different versions, Lythander, Sorig etc). You have to be extremely lucky to encounter a recipe with only avaliable ingredients - holy items, orcs, madmen, heads, GK doesn't have them.

wonderboysp2p 12-12-2003 08:16 AM

i have the xebinon recipe and it's all stuff GK has! it's a pretty rad helmet... i only need a "Helmet" and i'll have one for myself!

Satrek2000 12-12-2003 10:19 PM

If your friend made one, what helmet did he use, then?

wonderboysp2p 12-13-2003 07:50 AM

it was the item named "helmet" we tried doing pool of purity to his helm of lythander but that didnt work so he asked his frined and it turned out his friend had one!

Satrek2000 12-14-2003 02:17 AM

And where from?

TripleE 12-17-2003 12:40 AM

Um new monsters is hard. Do you know how many graphics there are for the t-rex walk movements?
