Kingdoms Server... Lagging Indefinetly?
 

Subject... Anybody else getting UDP package errors and such? I can hardly even get on... let alone do anything without being seriously lagged to hell...

I think you can make it so it either doenst show those or you dont use them.

Zethar... while writing this, which of those expressions were you really feeling.. or was it :mad: cause you couldnt think of anything smart to say... :\

Try turning UDP off completely. It doesn't hurt, at least for me, but my reason was that I couldn't see other players on the same IP.

I had never gotten UDP error messages until the newest client came out, along with some other people too.

*laughs* you got so badly ownd... but <3 for caring.. anywhom, it was the ISP i was using... at&t is laggy, but pets dont help

I have noticed a large increase in lag time... all failed messages seem to be a little late all the time and making nails was quite slow from all the npc pauses...

There were technical problems on the machine where Graal Kingdoms runs, but it should be fixed now.
The UDP thing has not been changed with the new Graal version, all UDP packets are sent peer-to-peer and are not going to the server.

That'd explain why players on the same IP cannot see each other.

Still? Haven't seen slowdowns since yesterday

I tried to use avatar yesterday in the evening (to avoid problems, that was 14 hours ago) and it reacted... well, slow, if I turned, it'd take long enough for the avatar move halfway across the screen before it altered direction. And I'm talking about a window enlarged to fit 1400x1050...

I have to turn off UDP to have it run anywhere near fast enough to be tolerable. Which is odd, since it just started doing it recently, including on computers where it ran perfectly before. :-/

Yeah, everything is so laggy. Normally it takes me about 8 minutes to finish a level 4 map, now it takes me 10 minutes to nearly get to half, just because avatar's so laggy. It all is laggy. Heck, some guy was PKing me, and it was really annoying. I hit him, but at that moment he is hitting the space where i stood seconds before.

Ok it looks like all problems have been fixed, the servers now take less memory and are running fine for a few days. If there are problems again then please tell me.
