New server option.

downloadlog=true/false

Logs the stuff that gets downloaded from RC.

Precisely what "stuff" are you talking about?

Milkdude99 12-02-2003 03:42 AM

The RC log already logs levels and GFX , basicly everything you have on the server that is downloaded from RC is logged on the RC log text. So as Houdiniman put it what are you refering to?

He wants an option to log specific file downloads, because it doesn't. Closest it comes is "So-and-so loaded file(s) from directory".

I'm amazed at a PWA member's (who was a manager, no less) lack of knowledge of how the log works.

oh, ok, because I was thinking a log for everytime an image is added to the webgifs folder? that wouldn't be very usefull. but yah, when staff download files the log should be more specific.

This is niether warrented, nor the place to make such a statement. He was inspecific and I wasn't about to go out on a limb and risk misinforming him.

I'd removed you from my post before you quoted me. He wasn't inspecific, he was simply incorrect.

As for this not being the place to make such an observation - why not?
