Good Bye...
Well, ive been on graal for 5 years now, i became an expert scripter and ive done all that i could have as a regular player/staff member to help out graal. I feel my time is done, ever since the new p2p system came out a lot of the true oldbies have left, and recently everyone is leaving, i feel i have done a lot already, iwish luck to my fellow friends who still play but i think its time to pack up my graal history and open up my life to a further extent. I will never forget my graal experiences, and i will use them to help me out in any way i can. Good bye everyone, i wish you all luck.

Yes i know lance, there are always things to learn, i have used every command in the current script engine, i even know some commands which are comming in the script engine that jagen is currently working on. There are always things for you to learn no matter how good you may be, but i have met a lot of @$$hole staff around, especially a lot of the managers from private servers, there all @$$holes who think they can do whatever they want just because they "bought" the server, when all they did was really rent it. Ive been nat/ nat admin on over 20 servers, ive always been around to help with scripting issues and so on, during these 5 years i studied scripting and ive done a lot, i know im not the best scripter around but im close :) . And on the issue of @$$hole managers, on a certain server which i use to manage, i wont say wat server, the owner (well the idiot who rented the place), he was absent for like 3 months, i was loyal to him so i didnt fire him (i was manager), i turned that server from garbage to material worth actually reviewing, and just so you guys know, the manager said "man, i dont care about the rules, we need as much staff as we can get, the more the better, because if we have more playcount then our rating go up". Its sad, and sickening for a manager to say that, well he while he was gone i turned the server upside down, he finally comes back, see's the great job i did then fires me for no apparent reason, does anyone care?, NO. I was removing all problems and i was removing staff because the server goes against the global rules, i was fixing it and the staff kept crying to the owner so i was fired for doing something correct?, that is why, i am pretty much tired from graal, not because of the global staff, but because of some stupid players. Only reason i didnt quit was to make sure that the server didnt die out, but that was the last straw when i was unrightfully fired. I think that is not right at all, its like hiring people to make your house, then killing them when they are done with the work. The globals should make sure the rules are more strict and are put to effect. |
Personally, i think they should set aside a team, or spark himself should have him and his team go on each server once everyday at random times so that servers do not expect it and you guys should make sure there are no violations in progress and make sure things arnt going corrupt, because its quite rediculous, im not really gonna go complaining to the globals like most people would abou what happened to me, because i have learned that in like there are those who are worth speaking to and making friends with, and those who like to be @$$holes.

Lance, would you think before you talk, your like an annoying mutter. Your implying "dont practice, if your good it will just click on your head", and dont even try to contradict yourself over my post because thats exactly what you implied. Practice means everything, if you dont take time to read different commands and how they work then you got one messed up script, your attitude has really need some work on.
And thanks moongod, a lot of good times on graal, congradulations again on the PWA spot, im sure you will do a great job. And i wish luck for everyone else on graal. |
Like i said, i aint perfect, no one is, and what you said was a completely foolish comment. You msut always study and practice if you want to be good in ANYTHING, what do you think you learned how to walk, talk, work a computer, work math, take a bath, without anyone teaching you?, the skills just magically appeared?, i think not.

1) I've never called myself "The best bath-taker" or even "Close to being the best bath-taker" 2) You had to study (or even practice) taking baths to understand how to do so? o_O 3) I never said they didn't need to practice. I said they didn't need to study. There's a huge difference between the two. |

Uhm... I mean... Err... I have to go now! :| *run* |
Again, you post without thinking, i knew you were gonna say that so im gonna say this, your so predictable. For something to click to your head u have to have studied and practiced it. So again, you write without thinking. You must learn something before you can master it

You don't seem to grasp that some people intuitively understand things. These people are the ones I consider to be good at whatever field they're able to grasp the concepts of so quickly. They are much more suited for such work than someone who must spend hours, days, weeks, months, years before understanding the concepts. Quote:

No, see you are trying to contradict yourself over my post. See even if you understand it after one lesson, you were still taught and you still had to practice it, so either way what i said implies to whatever you may say. Its IMPOSSIBLE to learn without being taught, and the most common way of learning is for you to do the thing yourself after being shown how, im not filling my posts with insults, its just iiritating the way you get yourself deeper and deeper into the hole and yet you insist on trying to get out but you fall back down even more. (its an expression, doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand it.)

things. Eventually something clicks and everything just comes together. Not just programming, but sports as well. A kid that is fundamentally sound, but sucks skillwise may come around to being great at what he/she does once everything comes around. I learned that from coaching baseball. It doesn't only apply in sports either. Quote:

so I misread. But I still dont believe you were an :expert scripters" I'd have to see it to believe it.
