Now I tried out the new graal 3.0 beta and the lights worked I think with open gl. But It has transparency problems as you can see will all this be fixed with the new graal 3.3? Also is there a way to update opengl and what is opengl?!

What are your video card specs and how much RAM do you have.

I have nivada n force 4 with 500 mb of ram and 120mb of video ram.

Maybe the video card isn't completely compatible with your mother board or something else to do with the comp? No clue really... could be a lot of things (I could be wrong about the mother board thing... I don't claim that I'm right, I don't know much about hardware, I'm just making a guess), could be bad settings and/or drivers, etc.
Opengl is an API for developing 2D and 3D graphical applications

I have the same exact problem, kai helped me once but it's messed up again.

Gambet 11-09-2003 10:00 AM

my lights have been messed up for quite some time, i use to enjoy seeing some interesting light effects and making some light effects of my own but now if i enable my lights all i see are boxes so i have to keep them off, its a shame.

There is no such thing as an nForce 4. You have some GeForce variant, probably the 4 series.

Yeah sorry I keep calling it nforce lol, I have nvida geforce 4.

Jagen is most likely correct about the motherboard issue. Your graphics card is most likely conflicting with your mobo. Although, it could be something as simple as your GFX card settings, try tampering with them a bit. Good luck.

Stefan said there is problems with some nividia gfx cards and Graal. I have an SiS 32mb GFX card and it displays video and graal 3d lights fine, and I rarely even lag. Try adjusting the Performance ---- Quality controls.

Will they be fixed in the new graal 3.1?

zell12 11-14-2003 02:27 AM

I say just go by a Radion 9800Pro, better then nivida.

DustyPorViva 11-14-2003 02:48 AM

My lights do that with the new graal version as well.

I'd say it would be a graphic setting mishap. A lot of times when you set the video quality to a lower setting, it can make graal's lights a little floopy.

I kinda had that problem, but I dunno maybe it is the graphics card, maybe you should go to their site or the manufactuar of the computer and download a new driver or something as well.

zell12 11-14-2003 05:37 AM

There is a thing to set the qualy or performance better or worse. Performance goes faster, but graphics are crappy. Quality makes graphics awsome, but goes slow. I like performance.
