Graaloween

Tomorrow some weird monsters will come on Graal Kingdom and drop funny items when being killed, we will also decorate the server a little bit for Halloween style (Probably doing events Friday-Sunday)

Spark910 10-31-2003 02:36 AM

I'll drop by just to see that!

Thallen 10-31-2003 04:26 AM

Sounds like a lot of fun Stefan! This probably means it'll be a non-stop Graal Kingdoms weekend for me! :p

Splke 10-31-2003 04:32 AM

Dude. This is the greatest idea in Graal history.. :O

Ima be like... Uber picking things up person dude... heh

Make a Devil enemy :) That has like, 40++ ac and 50++ wc :)

Satrek2000 10-31-2003 06:28 PM

I'm looking forward to that - I hope pumpkins will be avaliable even after this weekend - if at all ;).
On the same subject, are you planning something similar for christmas? Snow-covered houses, or something?

Monkeyboy_McGee 11-01-2003 02:24 AM

Um, i could very well be wrong, but i think the pumpkin monsters are a lil' buggy. Like, the baby monsters drop pumpkins, but the big ones pick them up usually, and no matter how many pumpkins get eaten by the big one, you only get 1 pumpkin when the big one is killed. He could be chewing up hats =X

I haven't seen a hat yet, and i've only seen one person claim to have found one =X

i want a hat X_X

Borgie 11-01-2003 02:32 AM

I heard the chance to get a pumpkin hat is only 1% :(
i think thats MUCH too low!

Lance 11-01-2003 02:33 AM

The pumpkin worms can eat small pumpkins and grow bigger. :)

Monkeyboy_McGee 11-01-2003 03:13 AM

Nonono tseng. Unless i'm misunderstanding your post, then you're misunderstanding mine o_O

Ok
Big monster sheds a little monster. You kill the little monster, and it drops an -edible- pumpkin. Big monster comes back and eats the -edible- pumpkin. You do this several times. When you kill big monster, it only drops one -edible- pumpkin even though it picked up like 5. Replace one of the pumpkins with hats, and you have yourself a hat-dropping/hat destroying monster =X

However, if you meant that the big monster uses -edible- pumpkins to become bigger, then i say "Oh, i see...so its just the fact that hats are too damned rare for their own good O_O. Sorry for the misunderstanding"

I bet this would be alot more fun if I stopped lagging... I've been lagging in 2-7 minute intervals, and only had enough time from not lagging to retreat into the pub... I've never lagged this much before... wonder if graaloween is causing it... well no pumpkins for me then :(

>.> SUXORZ. I'll get you one :)

skyler87 11-01-2003 05:26 AM

There is no pumpkin hat. It has been stated multiple times now.

dustariandigger 11-01-2003 12:13 PM

lol there ish now i have more than one and sold one for 2 eas and 10 diamonds

Satrek2000 11-01-2003 01:54 PM

An EM told me he had 2 on debug, with a very low chance - but even with 1%, the horn family should by now have 3 hats (from 300 pumpkins). It gets a little boring after a while, not knowing whether it's worth it at all, specially as people rush by and tend to steal pumpkins - which in some cases only appear seconds after the monster is gone.
I think a much better - and more fun - way would be a house where you can trade pumpkins for items. This would make them like easter eggs, and some *****s wouldn't chase and pk people because they "stole their pumpkin which could have been their hat" - specially when they didn't attack the worm first.

On another subject: I like the lighteffects, why not implement it as a basic night/day-system?

Lets say, you have 1 apple.

You eat the apple, someone comes and assasinates you.
They open your stomach, do they get the apple back?

It happened in little red riding hood, and instead of an apple they got a whole granny back!:megaeek:

I wonder if the wolf had a 1% chance of dropping grannyhats...

It takes 4 hours for something to go to your stomach. Assuming nothing chews but swallows it whole, it is possible.

Satrek2000 11-03-2003 02:56 AM

Another question, where does a pumpkin have a stomach?

It tends to happen with shell bomys/bomys/wolves/T-Rexs/gloks/dievils/heavils/smokys/battle mushrooms/rabbits/evil bomys/skeletons, so why is the pumpkin monster different?

Well... I'd call it a belly, not a stomach - then again... the candle inside is digested in some mysterious way, emanating light, so... oh my... you're right :D

Because it grows.
