New Server Idea
 

Okay, Dungeons of Darkness changed, and donate all there old medivel RP server, so i decided, since i have alot of stuff, and ideas and i'm sure i can get help, i'm going to try to work on a new modern server, RP is strongly encouraged, pk strongly disencouraged, there will be a few guns, but not much worry about them since there will be other stuff to do, there will be religions, such as christianty for priest like people, and wicca for the sorcerer like people, if any of you have any ideas to help it out, or would like to contact me about maybe wanting to help, please post.

Erh, I don't see how you can discourage pking on a server with guns..unless you make it like real life-like..or something..

Only a few guns, like basic ones in real life, not all those giant ones, and they won't be needed much, except for self defense and for killing monsters, yes, monsters, it will be a fantasy modern server, so, any suggestions to keep it like that, or shows/movies i can watch that are fantasy modern.

You can if guns are something of a rarity.
On Era they pass them out as a means on living, on the contrary of life they are rarely used in public(Unless in a place like where I live).

It all depends on how it is executed.

Oh, and a gun is no different from a sword, it wouldn't discourage or incourage it anymore. It depends on the atmosphere created.

Bringing real life religions into a game is bad.

The way i see it is, in real life, there are tons of religion, people live, i bring them to a game, they will live x__X

Also, dont make a modern server. I'm sick of the crap that comes out from modern servers. Make something original.

You don't think a modern server with fantasy and magic is orginal? It won't be that modern most likely, i have not decided.
I just don't want to be another medivel server either, and Trib is going to rock as a horror server.

I already told you over aim Trib wont be going that direction, since you had said you were and so was Bloo. Then I stated since I felt I was good with futuristic tiles, I was going to make a future server. (Will be posting screenshots of the GUI and ASD system soon.)

I also was thinking of london, modern, but not too modern, i don't know much about that though, does anyone else?

Modern technology only seems to be a replacement for the magic that was never discovered. If there is magic I still think there would be no reason for what we developed in todays society.

In Harry Potter they had floating candles, wands, broom sticks.
In today's modern world we have light bulbs, guns, and cars(gas).

There was two worlds to Harry Potter, Muggles and Magic, no? Why cant the two be mixed on a server?

I understand what your saying, but in HP they were seperated.

Sure it's a good idea to mix them, but I still believe there is no reason for technology when there is magic.

Look at real life. People have wars over religion. And you want to bring that into a game? It's bad enough to see racism and violence over religion in real life. Bringing it into an escape from reality isn't the best thing to do. There might be guilds devoted to killing other religions, constant racism, etc. Use made up religions instead, to avoid this.
