Can a Server OWner Fire all the Staff Every Single one and reply your gey staff.And steal everyones work?

The "gey" part would be sexual harrassment.
The firing part yes, but that is just wrong.
The stealing part... I don't even know anymore...

Thats What Isplash Said before rmemove the whol SW Staff,And stole every ones work.All staff are yelling and pissed -_-.

From what it looks like he basicly fired the staff after they finished the server for him.

The server owner can do wahtever he wants as long as it does not break any of the rules in the code of conduct, or any of the other offical rules from the PWA. If he called you ghey, talk to spark, he will warn him not to again. :)
As for stealing your work, it is not yours if its uploaded on his server. :(

The ******* with the Admin-Playerworld# fired everyone, including ED. Who yes, was also the owner.

ahh , I get it now lol , its not stealing once the work is uploaded onto the server it then becomes the property of the servers. I agree with Dusty , sounds like he just wanted them to do the work for him , then get rid of them.

So ED actually paid money towards the server? If not, then he owned nothing.

It's completely unethical, yes. Something should be able to be done about this, but at this point in time I do believe that it's impossible. There should be some kinda provision in the new rules about "using people" for certain things - i.e. hiring them merely to get a certain thing done, or to have them submit a certain set of graphics/levels/whatnot, and then immediately firing them (that is, of course, without telling them of this plan beforehand). The problem, though, is that this is tricky to define, and because of that would probably never make it to the rules.

I guess I'm still somewhat idealistic. :)

i hate laws. well, ones that are stretched to TRY and fit a whole range of things into one compact rule that applies for everything...one size does NOT fit all
just set somebody up to make a desicion. people will ***** about the person being biased on what he decides, but somebody HAS to make a judment on these sorts of things

But really, what can you do? If he wants to fire everyone that is his decision. You can't force the owner to sign contracts with any staff he hires, stating that they can't be fired by him or all their work would be removed. That's just silly.

The owner is just that, the owner. He shouldn't have to be obey the rules that his staff make. Whoever pays for the server really gets the last say in things.

Although I think what he did was morally wrong, and even plain out stupid. Even if he has all the work his staff did, how long will his server last online when he has nobody to help him anymore?

Who does he need when,GUI is compplete Gun layouts are complete,ammo layouts are complete,HP System dont,trsding system done,Quests done, alls he has to do is edit now.

If all those things were completed in such a short time then, to be blunt, what he needs is a new server.

Just because we got up couple weeks ago doesnt mean we were not working on this Project for months.

If it was coded mostly offline then I reckon my conclusion is doubly accurate.

But, look at the profession of lawyer. They come into their Harvard and Yale, having to recite canons of ethics, but when they get out there, does it really matter?

Bad Faith/Ethics usually is all but illegal, just rude and dishonorable. I wish there was a way of EXTERMINATING ALL ASSHATS, but too bad.

Ya, I wish we could take his server, and cattle prod him or something, but it's fair.
