How do you get a player to say something?

Sorry....I can't really remeber lol

Riot-Starter 09-27-2003 10:20 PM

Look in Commands.rtf twards the bottom.

Loriel 09-27-2003 10:45 PM

player.chat = "Hello!";

Not yet, though.

osrs 09-27-2003 11:10 PM

Currently:

NPC Code:

setplayerprop #c,<chat>;

and follow Riot & Loriel's instructions.

a new engine is comming out soon

Ningnong 09-28-2003 01:06 AM

Kay... This new engine is becomming more different than I first imagined.

I've been doing alot of work on archaic, and Tseng tells me that it will be backwards compatable...

... But I would be still tempted to rescript it new style.

... But, theres preassure on, to get Archaic scripted and up for the public... So... im in a bit of a dilemma here..

*dun dun dun*

- Does Ning script Archaic using the current engine and get archaic released as fast as possible?

- Or does Ning wait for the new engine to be released and script archaic new style?

Find out in next weeks episode of..... "Ning".

MarkB 09-28-2003 01:26 AM

I would script it. When the new engine is released, I bet we could get some GST to help us.

sYnergy247 09-28-2003 03:40 AM

Release Date of the new engine?

And will it be more C++ styled? or Easier to handle? or both XD

Kaimetsu 09-28-2003 04:09 AM

It takes longer because certain GST members keep suggesting new features ^_^

That's a lot shorter than the current way. :)

And new features being added is a good thing. :)

If there's going to be a lot of new, useful things, then keep suggesting! I'm willing to wait. :P

Dach 09-28-2003 08:50 PM

Wait, is it going to be more object oriented?

Riot-Starter 09-28-2003 10:41 PM

I would think so:p
