Something that is bugging me.

First off I know i'm not in Cp so don't judge me for makeing my opion about it's current situation on gathered information I have read. "That sounded weird but bear with me."

Alright let me share a story with you boys and girls that relates to your kingdoms leader "govener". I was once the FAQ Chief on the player world Enigma. All was good, as in I did my job the best I could and even above what I was entitled too do. As in show people around, and even go on quest with them to help them out. Back to my point i'm trying to make. I know FAQ Chief on a player world is not nearly as high as important possistion as a leader of a kingdom on "Kingdoms". But non the less FAQ Chief is high enough to be a important possistion. Wow I just beat around the bush a whole lot. One fatefull day my computer contracked a "Virus" and went bye bye for a good couple months. I posted on the fourms of my situation whenever I found a chance too. i e when I was at my friends house... But when my computer was fully reloaded and everything was back in place I found that I was fired from my job. I of course was a bit angered about this and said it's not my fault my computer broke. But Warcaptian just said that he needed somebody else too do the job while I was gone. "He Needed Somebody Else To Do The JOB." I was upset that he wouldn't give me my old possistion back but after awhile I just accepted it and later I realized it was inner most likely better for the server for somebody else to take over.

Of course my situation is diffrent than that of Valder's. As in he can still get online via a labtop. I dont know... Maybe passing the flame on to somebody else that can physically handle things more easily would be a smart thing to do. If you really cared about the kingdom. I do know that he cannot make people be online more and follow all the "Set Rp Rules" every given moment. Nobody can. But usally when a kingdom leader is on the rest of the kingdom members put on their tags... It's sad that it's that way but it makes sense. People follow there leader, in this case if that person is online. :(

As for who should run the kingdom.... I dont know. Appoint the person that truly cares about Cp.... Someone that is working hard to make Cp a better place... Thats all the advice I can give you.

P.S. Valder I really wish your computer was working..... All of this "crap" could have been avoided. But in the infinate words of wisdom "What can you do."

Ummm, no offense, but Valder has been very active the last few days, and me and Skatz (the councilam) have been working very hard to sort out the problems as well as valder is

Things have been better since I started a thread about the inactivity of the kingdom. Valder started being on more. He appointed Councilmen also to take care of things during his absence. As for your other main point, Yuber, RPing is still not enforced as it should be. People still use parenthesis in their toguilds for OOC to talk just to look good, while in-game, they freely talk OOC. I talked to a councilman (I think Denori) about how RPing should (I don't think I requested it be done...I just spoke on it) be enforced to a point where players MUST have all non-RP talk in-game (on screen) be in parenthesis, meaning the players are always acting in character when they're...well...in character. That's the best way I can put it so everyone can realize how ridiculous it is that's it not done; Players who are in character should act in character. This is not done. EVERY hour of EVERY day you can find some people with kingdom tags (ANY kingdom) talking OOC on tag without using parenthesis. Kingdoms can not advance untill this problem is fixed. There should be no exceptions to it either. This means it shouldn't be ok to freely talk OOC in trading areas, areas where players usually don't RP, or even when it's just a conversation between friends. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RP, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE INVOLVED YOURSELF WITH AN RPING GROUP. It's that simple.

I'd have to agree with you Ziro... But it's a bit tedious putting the parentheses in everytime you want to talk OOC, so instead stefan should create a little NPC that makes it so when you say /OOC parentheses appear around your chat and when you say /IC they don't. I know it would be abused to the point where people stay /OOC all the time, but it's better than having to type them in everytime you talk. Also, I am going to start enforcing the RPing rule. It's alright to use the parentheses in toguilds, but unless you are in a common place (ie. Trading houses, bomboria pub ONLY) you can talk OOC but other than that you must try and speak IC.

for some reason, valder, I feel the same about the comp problem...... damn kazaa gave me umpteen viruses..took me forever to get it fixed

and i don't think stefan has taken my idea for "all horses that like you 75%+ appear on the map" idea... i lost many-a-horse due to glitches and **** stealers

i'm prolly gonna rejoin CP soon... i'm just gonna get some stuff for a better helmet and better body armor... then i'll rejoin... in the meantime, i'm gonna be a furrier.

CP seems more "friendly" now....

btw, my house in westford can be destroyed if you want... I have no use for it...

Edit: that's new... the 1337 version of newbie is now a swearword XD

Abused? Perhaps, but if people stay that way all the time, it's MUCH better than them being OOC all the time on tag without bothering to use parenthesis chat. We should really fight to have this feature put into the game. It would be a whole lot better.

I really hope you stated that wrong. Am I right to believe you ment to say instead:

1. It is acceptable to not use parenthesis in toguilds for OOC talk.
2. In-game, you must use parenthesis for all OOC talk unless you are in an area where people are commonly OOC (trade houses and pubs).
?

I hope that is what you ment :(

Anyhow, it still has those holes in the rule, but it's a major improvement. It's nice to see this being done :)

No, I meant that if you are in a common place it's alright to talk OOC without parentheses, but if you aren't in a common place then you must talk IC and use parentheses when OOC. As for toguild, I think that it's very impersonal and if you were truly RPing you wouldn't be able to communicate across lands so I am probably gonna make it so toguilds are completely OOC.

Oh well, at least I understand it this time, and you ment just what I hoped you ment :)

Also, I thank you for seeing the toguilds situation in that manner.
