Parametric Equation?

Could anyone explain what this is and how to plot the graph for one. I am working on a battle system, and I am told for a certain part of it, that I will need to work out a parametric equation using a graph.

A parametric equation is an equation in why both x and y are dependant on a third variable, usually t.
