Good News

My email ([email protected]) has been fixed. People can now email me there with all their account related problems.

If you had emailed me there prior to September 14th, you need to email me again. I also would prefer that you email me at my @graalonline.com email other than my AOL email because I will be cancelling AOL soon.

Also, I have stepped down from Empress of Samurai on Kingdoms because I no longer have time to do that job.

zell12 09-17-2003 01:54 AM

Good thing your email works now. :)

Tseng 09-17-2003 02:45 AM

Congratulations!

Thallen 09-17-2003 02:50 AM

Well, I have AOL and DSL, I had to keep AOL because my [email protected] was originally a forward to my AOL email address.

AOL 9.0 really isn't that bad now that it supports file transfer. I actually prefer it over AIM considering the messages don't pop up when I get like 20 of them.

I haven't used AOL since like the 5.0 - 6.0 days. It was pretty bad then :( That was awhile back though...Now I have ZOOOOOMMMMM

zell12 09-17-2003 03:33 AM

AIM messages should pop-up minimized like msn messenger. :(

Nick1988 09-17-2003 06:00 AM

Hmm yeah I heard 9.0 was pretty decent. I cancelled AOL before 8.0 was officialy released. I wouldn't get it again though, I don't see the point of having AOL when you have DSL. :o

alarid0 09-17-2003 07:51 AM

Wow...that was really scary :megaeek:
I was reading through this and as I get to little AOL discussion...an AOL for broadband commercial comes up on my tv x_x
anyway I hated AOL...every few minutes literally it would kick me off -_- just plain unbearable
I went to their customer support, too, and they had jack sh~~...nothing worked

zell12 09-17-2003 01:59 PM

I hate AOL just as much as I hate Windows 2000 and WinME. -_-

TripleE 09-17-2003 02:18 PM

I have an option on my AIM to make all the windows like hidden, and I click a tab for them to come up.And who is the new Emperior,or Empress?

Now windows ME i can understand.
But what exactly is wrong with the nice and stable Windows 2000?
It has never crashed on me and runs 10x better than XP on my machine.

All you people talking about IM annoyances...
You guys should check out DeadAIM.
It has tons of options to mimick almost all other IM program's nice features and some they don't have either :)

WindowsME is so retarded, everyone knows that, everyone here knows that. And Win2000 has some stupid bugs that interfer with IE and Netscape. I am browsing the forums and after a bit, I decide to go to click on an attachment on someones thread, and it doesn't work, it also doesn't load java sites and corectly view them most times.
I have to restart everytime I want to browse the net. Then I try to use Norton, it doesn't work, then I restart and magically, it works. It does all of this every day and every few minutes.

Also, I tried clicking on "search" and nothing happens, I restart, and it still doesn't work.

Oh, and dont tell me I dont know how to operate it, because even the vendor that sold me the computer said Windows2000 has alot of bugs and said I should come back in and get XP.

I was reading through the posts and wondering if anyone would mention this. Yeah, DeadAIM is quite useful, although it still has some annoyances (taskbar flashing..........).

I hate taskbar flashing. My aim used to do that and it would drive me crazy. Now I got trillian and its all solved.

I have no such bugs. Mine runs fine for months at a time without restarts.
Also don't use norton, it doesn't run right on any of my computers:rolleyes:

Errors with IE and Netscape are related to those programs and have nothing to do with Windows 2000. If it doesn't load Java then you probably don't have the java plugin...Again, those things aren't the fault of 2000. The problem with Norton has to do with Norton and not 2000 as well because I have no problems running Norton. Your problem s are not related to Windows 2000 and are only program specific as I've said.

Your vendor says Windows 2000 has a lot of bugs? Care to name some actual bugs instead of stuff related to the software you use?
