*evil sounding voice*We can have that many people... >:] *glares at UN, GK, and Era* All we need to do is make them "vanish."

deman1171 09-14-2003 08:49 AM

I found myself in the first one.

Myomoto 09-14-2003 12:34 PM

FreezeBurnX 09-16-2003 07:42 PM

/greetbyhat ;)

syltburk 09-18-2003 12:21 PM

I found myself.

They lost the player count becuse of that in the start people always check out servers, alot of people have lost the intrest for 2k1 maibe becuse its not there style or anything else..

SaijinGohan 09-18-2003 04:09 PM

Or maybe because a community evolves around others and those others dont play g2k1 because there is really nothing to do at the moment. So when kingdoms come out I am expecting an increase in player count and therefore an increase in community!

I hope so :(
I'm kinda bored...

SaijinGohan 09-19-2003 02:15 AM

Well something has gone rotten. Playercount has been low lately, true, but something has caused that number to split in half. Its bad. real bad. I say we need to release dolls. :P

Kingdoms weren't even the best part of 2001 at its greatest. I was addicted to Graal 2001 back in late year 2001 and I was barely even involved in kingdoms. I joined PC after playing G2k1 for a good while and made up the name "Raghnro" which I use in CP on GK now. GK was awesome. I loved working hard on farming apple trees to save apples to have a big round of pie-baking to go to the market and buy that hat I would want so badly. Then I would take time off doing that to go do one of the few quests. The fact that there weren't many quests made things great. The fact that there wasn't too much of anything was great. The economy wasn't full of too many things (mostly hats, instruments, and tools). There were only 2 heart quests. Then while I was still busy doing things (trying to make money), things would be released (new job-related things like cows and snowcones...bomy moon). It would be hard to get bored on old G2K1. If anyone played enough to do everything and get bored, that person was probably staff. So, they would keep themself busy and probably not get bored either.

That's what made G2K1 great. Kingdoms don't fix anything.

Edit: Oh yeah, and having new bodies and HP system didn't help. Neither did making the game free. It would have been best to keep it gold, and keep the old classic feel to it. This way there would be one gold server with a classic feel (it would be like a playerworld you can only find in heaven), and then you'd have Graal Kingdoms (something completely different and fun in a different way). And then, maybe a 3rd development! There wouldn't be need for a 3rd one, but it might be nice.

I don't agree fully here. I think Kingdoms helped to increase the count too, but you could do many more quests if that bomy-human morpher were back...
