Motivation
 

This goes out to all the staff out there, what keeps you working on Graal? I am curious to see what people think they get out of it. Practice? Popularity? What?

Its addicting, I dont know what part is addicting but it always draws me in.. :(
Graal has a thing that like brain washes us all into staying.

Being a GP gives me an excuse to be mean to stupid people and get away with it.

I have no idea what holds the scripter/gani maker side of me down though. Addiction probably.

I just like organizing things, and managment.
I also wanted to prove something... i said one time that i could get a whole new server made, before n-pulse could get 1 large update... so far the race is still on

also, whenever i start something, i HATE to give it up... and i have to make it the best it can be.

Graalscript is an easy language in the way of introductory programming and it's fun to meet and talk to people.

The only reason i'm still here is because of people I met, originally it was role play, I guess. I can remember my friends playing classic and pretending ot be like.. masters or seomthing, and I always wanted ot be a assin for hire, or something silly like that, look at me now, i'm some looser who makes gfx.. XD

I'm a funny person, therefore I like helping people.

:) I don't do anything but chill. Waiting for something good to come about. Never play, don't script as much as I used to.

I like to argue with the *****s who think they know what they're saying. That's about it.

it motivates me when people brag to me and say how good they are and how much I suck it makes me want to kick their ass but I cant so I do the next best thing ; try to beat them at their own game XD

Most of you reffered to still playing graal because of power =-o! Obviously making their own server and then having a bunch of power appeals to them. :)

Damn it ETD, stop saying something about Npulse in all your posts, leave us alone :mad:

I get ideas in my head, and I want to make them into reality. That's really all there is to it.

Friendship comes first with me, that chance to meet and talk to people all over the world.
Then i wanted to learn more, set my goal to be Manager, and try make a difference, if only a small one.

ETD i second Moon Goddess,do you have to spoil every single thread and have it closed with your constant attacks on NPulse?
Your going to known and remembered as one big trouble maker if you keep it up.

To be honest, I enjoy what I do. I like scripting.

I also enjoy helping out where I can, having fun, enforcing rules, being involved in the world that is Graal.

I wish there was many scripters around like before now you can barely find a good one. The projects i have running are running smoothly on gfx area but when it comes to scripting there's like only 2 nats and one barely shows up. So it's hard to get some projects going i wish these new people who are coming to graal life would learn to script. Mabey even some day i would learn but i rather not seems it would take a very long time before i can script really good.:p

The smiles on their faces. Nah.. hmm... Its fun, interesting and its helped me get to know alot of cool people on graal.

not like that was my only reason, OR my biggest reason...
but honestly, if n-pulse was worth playing anymore, then i'd be happy just as a player, but me, and a lot of others feel that there can be something better, and so we make other servers... is it just random that so many n-pulse players have been trying to make their own servers? Zido, Arcadius, me, SaDiE, and others... if n-pulse was good enough, then we wouldn;t have to.

I do not mean to insult n-pulse in 'every post' actually, i talk about n-pulse in like maybe 1/4 of my total posts, and that is only because it is my home server, and i have not ever activly played anywhere else, and so topics regarding n-pulse appeal to me.

I did not post that to try to offend anyone, i was simply stating that that is part of my motivation to do well as a manager. basically, to prove you wrong.

Well every post by you I have seen since i logged off and searched new threads, have been negative comments towards N-Pulse.

umm.. i just posted in the levels section like an hour ago, and that has nothing to do with n-pulse, or even graal...

and look at ALL the active threads in the 'graal' and PW sections of the forums... i think at least 90% of them are talking about n-pulse

Same. Along with I want to have something to show for the talents I have been strucken with, and Graal is a good starting gateway to begin with.

The post was hardly vicious or strongly defamatory. I'm not going to delete something so trivial, but if you can show that it's an ongoing problem then I'll talk to ETD about it.

I don't think it will because it seems they are going to do everything in their power to have you banned.

Kai, it is an ongoing problem when everytime I turn around he is posting something negative about me or npulse.....I am not trying to get anyone banned, I just want the negativity to stop, and if you need me to go do a search and copy all of the posts, then I will, I have asked that he stop on more then one occasion, I also never asked for any posts to be deleted, just that thread that he started, which was deleted. I dont need to look in threads and see his negative crap about npulse, do you see me posting negatively about his server? No, nor will I ever...why? It's against the rules, thats why

posted in 7 which did... 5 of those have been in the past day or 2.

now, if you want to call this an 'ongoing problem' then you'd have to prove that somehow i have been 'harrassing' you for a long time, which (by taking your advice) does not seem to be true.

also, the arguments in the 5 recent ones are all about the same thing... they're you complaining about me, then me trying to say i didn;t do anything wrong

I agree, but I can't take action until you prove that he is actually doing so. Would you have me act purely on your word? Or the word of any manager that happens to contact me?

By me. Because I deemed that it was likely to foster a great deal of negativity - far more than an on-topic, offhand remark would. Like I said, if you show me that ETD is harrassing you then I will not ignore it. So far you haven't done this, and I haven't seen any evidence for myself. Is that my fault? I can't be everywhere, I can't see everything.

He made an entire thread that was obviously a way to bash MoonGod/dess.

I don't think so. I think there's a reasonable chance that he was genuinely trying to contain the arguments.
