Open up a DOS (or, Command) prompt.

Type:
Quote:

ping listserver.graalonline.com
Does that give any errors?

That means you aren't getting any information back from the RC server.
Check your internet connections, and perhaps the server people use to connect their RCs is down.

Meh. Whatever the RCs connect to. I'm a ditz in this area, and I haven't used an RC in over two years.

Besides, I like sounding like I know things. ;)

Yout isp has not enabled the ip and port of the graal servers, for some reason they are disabled. Just contact your isp and tell them the ip and port ranges to add I forget the ip but the port is 14900

Where the heck did you get that from?

zell12 09-03-2003 05:24 PM

It happened to me before.

Golbez 09-04-2003 12:38 AM

Alright then I guess I need to IP... anyone know it?

Minoc 09-04-2003 01:07 AM

Maybe a firewall is blocking it? :\

Thought 09-04-2003 01:52 AM

It is currently 207.44.156.91.

Golbez 09-04-2003 11:04 PM

So I call my cable company (im on cable connection) and tell them this "Hello, im ____ and im having problems connecting through a site through YOUR internet service.. I went on the sites forums and asked for help, one of the guys there said that, if I get the IP and port of the website, and give it to you guys, you will eanble it. Im currently paying for this site, well its a game also, and im losing money because you guys wont eanble this IP for what ever reason. Oh before you say its my router, its not. I know alot about computers, and I know what it is like when my router is blocking it, it happened before. This is a totaly different situation from, my router. It doesnt even read the site..."
Guy responds to something like, "Okay, we can eanble it but what is the IP of the site and its port."
Me- "IP is, 207.44.156.91 and its port is 14900"
"It should be fixed in awhile, if it doesnt work call back and ask for ____, witch is me."

Is that good enough, or would I need more info....

That IP (I didn't check) is only the listserver (I guess?).. chances are you'd need to get the gserver IPs allowed too (or just the ports).. if it is the ports, well.. it graal doesnt only run on 14500, try 14500-14600.. I think

Thought 09-05-2003 12:47 AM

Your still getting 24/7 support.
Can't be helped if others need help too.

Did you send it from an AOL, or Hotmail host?

aohell, yeah :x guess their stupid filter blocked you

Golbez 09-06-2003 11:25 PM

Well, I found out it isnt my cable company because its only effecting my PC!! I tried on my brothers computer and it worked fine O_o;; (my brother's PC is routed to my computer)

marcoR 09-06-2003 11:41 PM

I told you it was your firewall.

If he cant get to the site (Port 80) (Think his ISP is blocking port 80 too?) and he cant get to the server list but his brother in the same house and the same ISP can? Im guessing some how a firewall at graal is blocking his IP. but then his brother is prolly using the same IP (Same Broadcast IP from the router) that dont explain it. So Im outta ideas.

What kinda firewall do you have?

Tseng 09-07-2003 01:28 AM

Uh, it could also be his DNS.

Compare the IP provided in his ping screenshot to the one that listserver.graalonline.com is currently set to :)

Loriel 09-08-2003 02:54 AM

I think Unixmad has made his servers not respond to ping. So pinging the list server probably is of much use. I do not get any pong either, but can load the serverlist just fine.

Also, as his brother's computer, routed through Golbez' PC, can access Graal, I do not think a firewall is to blame.

Well.. I dont really have a firewall. Im being protected by my router (ya I know its stupid of me to have a wide open computer on a game for of hackers...) My router is Netgear.
I might just reformatt and see if that would work, but it will be awhile before I do that I need my moms okay, and then I have to copy alot of my stuff to CDs.. (over 40 gbs of stuff..)

Judge_S 09-09-2003 03:48 AM

If you're using Windows XP, you have a firewall - though I don't see how that would affect the current situation.

Admins 09-09-2003 03:54 AM

Please do

tracert usa10.legende.net

on the command line and post the results here (it will try to trace the route to the Graal Kingdoms server). Then we can see if it's our isp blocking you or if it's your isp, or someone else.

192.168.0.1 is the standard gateway in local networks, that must be your router, don't know why it is blocking connections to graalonline though, can't you configure it somehow?

heh, but how can it be my router if its working fine on my brothers computer? :(
(me and my brother are routed together)
I dont have access to my panel at all, I'd have to ask my brother. However before when it was blocked by my router I was able to connect to Graal, and not the site (it would say something like "Blocked by Netgear). Angel said it her self this is a strange bug.. Could it be a trojan? :(:(:(

marcoR 09-10-2003 01:04 AM

I don't know much about this stuff... but I think it is you stefan =x
