Idea..?
 

Well, i was planning on making this a game itself.
But it being on graal would be better :x
I don't know if i want to make this this could be an idea just for all you people to steal but a good idea for a server
is to make one like Harvest moon.. except when you first start out you don't even have a farm.. first you must do jobs in different towns and then by tools to mine and get wood with.. then later you can buy land from the mayor and build a farm on it.. is this a good or bad idea?

If it was done right, then I would probably play it. I suppose it would have to be an economic type server.


Then again, I'm a big Harvest Moon fan.

Although, jobs shouldn't be limited to working on a farm. It would be much more enjoyable if each player can eventually obtain a role in the community.

That could be a good idea, but I don't think too many people are interested in making that kind of a world, unfortunately.

Some one already had this idea for atleast a year ago, but it never really got out of the planning stage ;X

It was called Moo Moo Farm I think.

It's a nifty idea, but for Graal.... nah. Simply because there is already farming on Graal. There's farming on GK and Bomy Moon, and I'm sure there is farming elsewhere on other playerworlds.

It just hasn't been emphasized to the point where it's like a whole experience in it's own. I'm heavily influenced by games like harvest moon. (heck, I want to work for natsume) :p I'm making sure that Oasis will rival and hopefully better, the harvest moon farming system.

To base a whole server around it would be pretty difficult. It could be done, and I'd probably play it a lot if it was done well. But if it's not up to at least Harvest Moon standards, then it will fail.

Heheh yeah, moo moo farm is the name of a track in mario kart. This has all been discussed before.

There is a game being made that is an online harvest moon, made by people that play graal (or used to play graal). I don't think I'm allowed to give the link though, since it's an mmorpg...

Anyway, that game has been in development forever lol, I dunno if it's ever going to be finished. I think it's been in development longer than my playerworld has, and that's pretty slow considering there isn't half as much work to do for something like that. Just rip the tileset, use all the ideas, and bingo. The biggest job would be scripting the engine and stuff, but even that shouldn't take over a year to do.

Is the leader of that "game" royce?, If so... I've looked into it and it looks pretty 133B. I've known royce for awhile and he's showed me some things and they are on their way to finishing up :).

Anywho, farming is indeed boring.

They're allready making a seperate one... I cant say the name or the url... but they're making a seperate game of Harvest Moon which will be online and massively massive.
