New World
 

With the new server deal that came out not too long ago it seems it wouldnt be too hard to revive New World.Everyone that has files from nw could get together and try to put nw back together again this would mean getting a very good staff team as most of the nw staff have quit graal.Any way just thought it would be worth a try because what little I have seen of new world has amazed me.

I don't think it would be too respectable to continue someone else's project without permission, especially with leaked files.

Well what about the people who were originaly making it the only one that still is active that comes to mind now is kinatt.I didnt say I was gonna steal New world and use leaked files to make a crappy server.I am asking the remaining nw staff that still play graal to get together and hire some new talent and maybe finish the doomed project.

I don't want to get into this because half the people don't believe me, and the other half doubt the project will be finished.

First off that I do work for NewWorld.
People don't seem to recall me working on the project, and being the main voice in the NewWorld forums, when they were around.

If anyone dosnt believe you tell them to do a forums search for new world and go way back to the first few pages.So I know you worked there but what did you do? the important thing is we would need gfx artists and really good scripters level makers wouldnt be that important but do you have any idea who made the concept art? that stuff was awesome.

You wouldn't be able to use the materials anyways. It's all in the hands of the proper members.

Well for one there is no sever called new world unless its ultra secretly hidden...#2 most nw staff have gone their own ways and #3 the new world site and forums are gone along with the playerworld forum on the graal boards plus until now there has been no talk on the forums of new world still being worked on.

Has it hit you that they are doing this away from Graal?

1.) It's dead, don't bring it back

2.) Starting a project using someone else's ideas and work is DISRESPECTFUL.

3.) Read 1 and 2 again, then digest what you just read

i really don;t like how level quality standards have gone down lately... seems people have lowered their standards when it comes to levels, and have discredited the level maker's work

i don't like this trend... i remember when delteria first came out, and then even the newer levels... they set a standard for how good levels should be, but it seems with the invention of this rent-a-PW thing, people care less about level quality, and more about flashy new graphics...

and on the hote of graphics, remember, DIFFERENT does NOT equal BETTER. just because a server uses a different tileset, does not mean the tileset is BETTER than the origional. (sorry, just a thing i had to say)

why not bring it back? It was a very good project and may I state once again no one is using anyone elses stuff all I am suggesting is that the nw staff get back together.It would be a very nice addition to the gold tab.

May I see one your levels please? I really want to see one b/c you work for NewWorld as a level designer.

why the hell wouldnt they? they had a really good thing going on.If it was me I wouldnt let a server crash and a few leaks ruin what would have been the best server ever..I guess they just don't care but its an awfull shame that they let it die.

Whatever this secret team is making will not be NewWorld, except in name. It's not being made by the original crew, and it doesn't have the same amount of talent behind it.

The only levels I could show you as of now, would be made with the Graal client. I haven't designed any within and reasonable amount of time, due to the fact that the client hasn't been completed.

Levels makers are the worst treated people as in like respect for them. Everyone thinks anyone can make a nice ass level but you don't see everybody throwing tile **** together and making nice ones. Thats why I hate making levels because the only people who appreciate the work put into it our other levels makers.

Kai could you give a list of all the people who worked on nw? I know of kinatt judge_s kile and bruges (sp?)

I don't know if it would matter, but he too did work on it, at least at Subteam level, for a period of time. However, that was before I, so I can't be sure.

I still have old NewWorld files, from before I joined, if you would like to see screenshots. I do not want my work alone to reflect the quality of the project.

we should make an all-star staff team and make another huge project.There is better talent these days.As far as graphics and levels anyway I dont know how we would compare in scripting to newworld.

I know if I found out someone took my old work and made a server with it that I would be upset =/ Don't beat a dead horse with a stick, use a hammer =x LOL. Seriously though, NW is dead, ages ago, and let it go please! NW was supposed to be like 2k2 is now I suppose, I mean as far as the "awe" of it... and right now it wouldn't be all that impressive considering what we've got now.

The scripting done thusfar is outdated, and I'd assume inefficient in many places. Scripts could be done better now.

Allstar staff team? And this is whom? Level makers can never decide... it's so sad. Some people love their levels, while others hate them, it's a matter of pure opinion =x And every level maker thinks they can do better. GFX is either you can do it or not. Scripting, that would be whomever could make the most efficient scripts that are the least hackable, the least laggy, and have intricate webbings, otherwise it's just a simple thing.
I made an attack system, and it annoyed me b/c I put speed, accuracy, defense, attack, weaponspeed, weaponstrength... without the people working together, it would fail miserably.
Look at Kai and I. I've got a lot more serverside experience and knowledge than he does, and he blows me out of the water with math... together we could probably make some pretty awesome stuff, but we don't get along. So the Allstar team theory is nothing more than people competing against eachother, it would never work. Plus there are too many different ideas. Stefan has to sit down and organize an elite team for it to be effective. Like he should do after we finish GK, he should make an all-new server... add MORE gold worlds!

It would probably be bad to give a list, but I can say this:

Neither Kinatt nor Judge_S worked on it before I quit.

Subteam for six days, I think. Full team for much, much longer.

Experience, perhaps, but not skill. I can do anything you can do.

Anyways there is only 14,000 more people who can script better then you. You are very very very+ conceded and you only do stuff for people to know you did and it for people think you are "cool". Yes you are great at scripting but you use your abilities in the wrong way.

Let it be known that that was only before you quit.
It could be argued that this is a mere excuse for me to "pretend to be on the project", but I was the last member made fullteam before the DServer crashed, and threw the project into chaos. Therefore, I doubt many would know I worked on it (thoughbeit a short time). I was the voice in the forum, as I said, before it was removed.

Spunky is on the team I asked Kyle and he said he was so thats all the proof I need.

I think cybnext and me were the last subteam members added...then the dserver crashed just like it did every week and they never put it back up :(

the elite team could be done.With a new tile set it would be harder for lats to argue about style all the tiles could be themed to a certain goal.As for gfx we would complement eachother blookat,kinatt,davidspy,myself,koni,and others I have forgotten... that would be amazing.Scripting would own and we could find a really good manager it wouldnt be hard.

WTF< where did that come from? That just proves your ignornace towards me, I'm not even sure who you are in the first place... I help anyone who comes to me, even if I dislike them. Ask NeoJenova, he absolutely hates me, and I cannot stand him, I think he's the most obnoxious and conceded person next to a few others i.e.(kai and vt), but when he came to me for help, and he asked if he could have access to Shifter to do some NPC work, I accepted and I helped, I didn't argue at all, I just helped him. So tell me how I'm only into helping my friends or people who think I'm "cool"? I prefer to help people who have no clue who I am...

You still offer no proof for your theory. You have no clue what I'm capable of, and I would have to disagree with you in this one. It was an example meant to prove something, I'm sorry you can't handle someone mentioning your name without praising you. You think that you're god's gift to scripting... guess what, You're not. You have your strong points, just like the rest of us, but skills come with experience, and you don't have the experience the rest of us do. So until you actually get on RC to help out and LEARN something rather than assume you already know it, please stay out of matters that will inevitably cause you to prove that your ego is very large...

And neither do you offer proof to support the belief that you are better than me. I don't feel that I need to prove it, however; any skilled and knowledgeable scripter can easily see that you are inferior.

Actually, it's more that I respond when somebody quotes my name out of nowhere to put themselves above me in some regard. If you don't want me to question your ridiculous claims then don't make them. If you wanna pretend to be better than I advise that you pick on somebody without forum access. You might be able to win a fight if the other person can't take part.

Because I think I'm better than you? Hardly. I know my abilities and I know my limits, unlike you.

1) How do you know how much experience I have? Just a moment ago you were complaining that I judge you without knowing everything about you, hypocrite.
2) All that is required for serverside scripting is an understanding of the client/server dynamic, knowledge of the few necessary commands and, in some cases, a person to consult on the fine details. I have all three. Past that point, the only limit is your intelligence and general scripting skill. Which is why I will always be better than you :)

Honestly, I have NEVER met ANYONE more conceded than you. I've taken a look at your skills, I know what you are and are not capable of. You assume too much. I don't have to [b]PRETEND[b] that I am better at serverside components than you... the difference is I don't have to ask someone the commands, I know them and how to implement them. The reason you'll never be able to be anything more than a show-off, is because you think you're the best, and you hate it when someone challenges your thoughts, and you'll never be able to get over that. Maybe when you realize you're NOT the best, will you be able to get somewhere. Right now you don't actually do anything for the GST, you are never on, and I have never seen you on once helping out a server... perhaps you haven't seen me either, but YOU have to be online for that to happen ;) If the limit is intelligence and general scripting skill, then I guess you maxed out
