Sleep Bug

Theres a bug in the game where you can do /sleep, then pause, and effectively heal yourself.

This is a bug, it's not meant in the game, and should be fixed, as people are using it to lame death people. And correct me if I'm wrong, but in the ToS of using Graal, bug abuse of any kind is illegal.

So, Tseng, or any staff member, please fix this. It gets annoying to see people get down to 10HP, then pause and and go "AFK", and /sleep. And of course the chance of this being used in RP's is probably high too.

Pause doesn't work in sparing zones.

The fact remains this isn't fair at all.

All it really does is make it so that you can't be PKed when regaining health with sleep normally...

This isn't a positive thing, when people use the command in mini-games. While one can't use the pause button, the sleep command still can be activated.
It should be disabled upon entering a game building, such as CS, or Capture the Flag.

Ah, well, you see, then it does not become a bug but a design oversight in terms of levels and minigames. The fact that you can pause and sleep at the same time is no bug, if you ask me.

True. It technically isn't a bug, and I don't understand why it is considered one.
However, for what it's worth, I never once referred to it as a bug.

PK the PKers...

You ever hear of Road to Perdition? It's a movie where Tom Sullivan steals from Capone and only Capone.

It's considered a bug because when you are paused, all forms of movement are also paused, basicly it lets you stay where you are, and not be PKed when you need to go AFK. However, it is being used as a bug in terms of PKers and event players pausing in mid event or fight, doing a /sleep, and then healing themselves, then turning around and killing you a few seconds later.

You should not regain health when you pause and do /sleep, simple as that. It unbalances the game. If your going to get HP back, you should be able to take the risk of haveing to /sleep when your unpaused. Basicly, what it does is makes you a god. In dungeons, just do pause and /sleep, and tada, your immortal to all enemies, and you can heal.

Not to mention how PKers use this as forms of healing themselves when their abot to die, then turn around and PK someone else. It's not fair, it unbalances the game, it needs to be fixed.

Python523 08-28-2003 12:39 AM

It doesn't really unbalance the game, the only thing that exists to 'balance' are gralats and HP, and I believe the max is 140, only 40 above your start HP

Evil_Lord_Sparda 08-29-2003 01:09 PM

The max is indeed 140 at the moment but soon it shall be 160 when the Fish quest gets fixed.
