Funny, yet oh so sad...
 

I was looking around graal.net and decided I'd check out the descriptions of some of the upcoming servers. After reading a few(and rereading them), I couldn't help but laugh, and also feel a bit of disappointment. Let's take a look shall we?

SuperK9 - You live in a world... Similar to the one we live in today... Except you never can be killed till you die.

Okay, let me get this straight... the server name sounds like you're playing Lassie, or Rin Tin Tin. I have no idea how that would have any other meaning. The part I don't understand the most, is the description. "you never can be killed till you die" Really... think about that.

Deserted islands - One night your with your family on a island,your parents are slaughtered and you barely manage to escape and as you return the next night you see your sisters footprints so you have to rescue her.

Okay, I'm not even going to start on all the grammar mistakes in this sentence... Skipping along... This story has such a happy beginning doesn't it? The parents are SLAUGHTERED. Not just murdered, or poisoned, or kidnapped. They are cut up into little chunks of meat much like a cow that is going to be a hamburger. Yes, that's really nice. "as you return the next night" (Why in bloody hell would you return!?! Didn't your parents just get SLAUGHTERED there!?) "you see your sisters footprints" Aside from the fact that there is no apostrophe to tell if this is talking about one sister or many, what would make you think that your sister(s) didn't also get SLAUGHTERED? Why are you going to bravely save your sister(s) now, when you ran like a coward the day before?

Shogun Online - the age has come, the war in old japan brake out, and you are in it...

This is right to the point isn't it? :p I also like the badly written sentence with this one. "the age has come, the war in old japan brake out, all your base are belong to us"

Gate of Chaos - A world with a seemingly eternal curse of chaos. You must venture through lands to collect the magical shards to unlock the gate of chaos and stop the Lord of Chaos.

... who lives at the house of chaos, in the land of chaos, with his dog named Chaos...

Zemi - Black Mage walks in and gets mad at everyone in bar because they are hiding Red Fighter.. Black Mage does bolt 3 and says "DIE".. now you must get vengance because your mom and dad were in bar while you were at home

Black Mage walks into a bar, says "damn this bar!", gets mad, and then kills everyone, including your mom and dad, who left you at home so they could go out drinking. Thank you, I'll be here all night!

Soakath - Can you unite the past and present?

Can you turn water into gold? Neither can I.

DreamScape - DreamScape is a fantasy RPG in which Players create their own fate, The world will be in your hands. An Rping server for every RPG lover, place thats only boundarys are your imaginations. ~DreamScape~

"place thats only boundarys are your imaginations." ... and all of the RP rules that you must follow, which in turn, will make you need to use all of your "imaginations" because there won't be jack squat that you can do.

Zenkou - Zenkou, once a land of peace and scernity, but years have passed since those times and war and turmoil inflicts the land...can you raise an army to fight off this evil!

I could probably raise the army, but it would help if you said this in the form of a question, instead of sounding like you're yelling at me. ALL I WANT IS SOME PEACE AND "SCERNITY"!!! :(

He isn't making fun of the name. He is making fun of their descriptions, which I might add, are rather quite humorous.

Don't matter what he's making fun of.. he's making fun of peoples spellings, because he is american and English is his main language does not give him any right to make fun and laugh at people who are uncapable to write in a proper way.

I am pretty sure the people have the capability to write a nice detailed description, they are just too lazy to do so and that's what Konidias is making fun of. Also I needed to read this, the forums are so boring during the AM hours.

You can't be sure if they are capable or not, not everyone is from the US... this is the main problem with americans, they allways think of themselves... (No offence to ALL americans, just alot of them are) and thier country..

Sure one or two might be made by those who do not speak English as a first language. However, the average Graalian is notorious for a poor grasp of English despite it being his first language.

Just because you aren't American doesn't mean you are incapable of stringing coherent English together. Many people of whom English is a second language to them can speak and write English better than people who use English as their first language.

Man, the graal forums don't let anyone have fun, now, do they?

I didn't make fun of my own playerworld, because I don't have a description on graal.net. :rolleyes:

I'm not trying to start arguements, I'm just having lighthearted fun, anybody with half a braincell could see that. I made a joke thread about playerworld names before, and made fun of mine too, so it's not like I'm doing this to make people angry or anything.

As for Tyrial and his oh so witty arguement. If English isn't your first language, why are you making a game in English? Why don't you go make one in your first language? Because if not, then you're just going to have to live with people laughing at your bad grammar and spelling. People do it to Unixmad all the time, although he's gotten a lot better with it.

You don't get a handicap for having English as a second language. If you can't make a good description, have someone that is good with English do it for you. It's pretty simple.

Snakeandy, you totally don't grasp the concept of this thread do you. Har har, Oasis is a band. Oasis is also a desolated area of foilage, usually found in deserts, usually with water. Which most intelligent people associate an oasis with.

I dunno. I usually associate it with bad haircuts and even worse songs.

Graal is the coolest game that i've seen,and it's in English...
I'm one of these players that don't speak english very well,but i do my best to speak English correctly and i'm sure that I speak better than some americans,also i don't worry if you laugh at my bad english,at least I can speak my language and your language :p

How is my playerworld being the name of a band, funny at all? My playerworld is a common name. You just sound idiotic trying to make that into a joke.

Sorry, but english isn't my second language, it's my FOURTH.

I don't want to make a swedish server because:
MOST GRAAL PLAYERS SPEAK ENGLISH AND THE GAME IS MADE ENGLISH.

It's not that hard to form proper sentences grammatically.

I perfectly expect a native German to correct/laugh at me if I attempt to speak German. I have taken a few classes in it, and can speak it decently, but I am not native and therefore I cannot even expect to be accepted among them for my language skills.

But, I digress. The point is, it's not that difficult to do it; and, even if it is, you can get someone else who can to do it.

I mean come on..."where you can never get killed until you die"...how much thought went into that?
