NPC Server
 

For the server i will be running, before i must change over scripts, i need to bring to the attention of Stefan, or whoever is in control of this, a problem.

I recall when DL Signed up there was an option to remove the npcserver on the CP

when we did so no scripts worked, at all, nothing loaded, so we had to bring back up the npcserver.

I would still like to have the option avalible so that we DO NOT have an npcserver, but currently this dosent look like an option.

If anyone can help (i know stefan is on vacation?) i would appriciate it, thanks.

I honestly can't see any reason why you wouldn't want an NPC server.

a) No Lag....Ever Played Graal2000, yeah
b) quicker scripts (Save for getplayer() and some other functions its simplier)

I just want the classic feel of what EL Had, to remain there

You have no choice...next client that is released will require all servers to use it.

If an NPC Server causes you to lag then you're using it wrong. There is absolutely no chance of you being allowed to dawdle in the past as you seem to want.

It dosent cause ME PERSONALLY to lag, but the server itsself, after the scripts are cleaned up, there will be no problems

Hey now, not everyone had access to an NPC server to test scripts, bub. So I can understand why change is hard for some... Mainly because they have no idea what they are doing on the NPC server because Graal comes with a level editor and client-side scripts, that's it!

I know how to script, i have no problem scripting

However, i have no desire to go through all of the server, changing all the scripts (although i will need to)

You and Tseng, both need to elarn to read a little better

If you could script at even a sub-par level, it would not be lagging the server. Additionally, if you want to use words that you don't know, try to use them properly. :)

Remember im sure you said that jeff did something like this when he upload all the toweapons scripts, and inefficent scripts onto g2k1


Additionally: I didnt exactily need anyone taking on my behalf, you were talking down to me as if i had never scripted before, sure you might not have known, but mabye you should think before talking down to someone

Then why are you asking to disable it...?
