Size restrictions on uploads

I was just wondering now that PW hosting is out. Will server owners be able to upload bigger files now that we are just limited to 100 mb?
For example I need to upload my Tileset and music to the server but file size restriction inhibits me.

With the new RC stefan said he will change the upload limit, i forgot what to I did post it though. Its 256K I think.

Oh.... ok.... im not being sarcastic, hateful, or anything just curious.

My tileset is 240 k right now with not many changes it will probably be bigger If i add any more detail what would I do if it exceeds 256k?

And why did he add MP3 support if we can't upload them? Or will there be another way to upload them?

MP3s and all other music files are never to be uploaded on a playerworld, unless you have the papers which show you to be the original owner, and send those the Unixmad (or in other words, relinquish your ownership of them so that Graalonline cannot be sued).

Of course, because few of us can do that (myself included), he says to upload the files to a website and allow a option for the players to download. As long as the files are not hosted on the graal servers, they can be used.

Uploads

When will this take place?

But see thats not right.... well i understand what is meant by this though. But i cannot show papers saying i am original owner I can only show the papers saying I have permision to use the MP3's because McVaffe made most of the ones I am using and has given me permision to use them.

For playerworlds in UC Stefan or Unix would usually upload the tileset for you, since most tilesets are well above the size restrictions.

hehe, my tileset is under 64kb :) But then again, its just a 256 color terrain tileset which probably explains most of it :)

Yeah, I can't upload my tileset either. It's a relief to hear that this will be changed. When will Stefan change the limit?

MKSLAYER 08-12-2003 09:50 PM

i think it might be because each uploaded image takes up space on the server for the forums doesnt it?

Why is that not the case with graphics?

Have been for quite some time. So far I have a huge, though incomplete, overworld (64x32 levels). Also have roughly 4-5 areas outside the main map that are set aside for other places.

Check my playerworld's forum (part of the playerworld forums) as I have many screenshots there :)
