Pretty sure it's dead. Might still be online somewhere though.

Matman58 08-08-2003 09:29 PM

It used to be on the corporate website under flash/java games. But it is gone now. So i guess it has been gotten rid of.

Nitkizi 08-08-2003 09:42 PM

Last time I checked, it was on the cyberjourners website.

Dach 08-08-2003 10:06 PM

While we're on the topic of ancient Graal things (;)), does anyone have, or know where to get one of the old, old versions of Graal - preferrably 1.28 - 1.31?

Wasn't/isn't the legality of having those old versions in question?

Anyway, the old java graal is still on their website, you can access it: here

I think the problem was people hosting their own 1.28 servers.
I just want a client designed to play the old levels pack. I want to experience the Graal I knew, again.

Java graal does that; so did Graal1998 when it existed, and I believe Graal2000 is using that levels pack now/again?

Well, I don't know how to put it. I'm looking for a new game to play, an offline one, and I remember all of the things that used to be on Graal like Zol's pub, and the Grails.
And I believe Graal2000 is going to be getting a facelift. Besides, it's changed from what I knew. Now there are jobs and such.

I thought that, due to corruption and misbehavior, graal2000's staff was fired and its levels were reset again to the old levels pack?

Yeah...something...like...that...Not all of us were corrupt. But that's irrelevent. It is an old levels pack, but it's a newer one than the java zelda pack and the 1.28 pack. I'd personally like to get my hands on the 1.1 pack that had 20 hearts. Those were the days. :p

The reset was also poorly done and now there's bugs and pics1 images all over the place. It is being shut down either just before or when the new Graal client is released.

Even so, I have the old levels pack, and I had foolishly deleted the elder versions of Graal.
I can't play it with the 2.* versions, because the player in offline mode doesn't have the ability to swing a sword, or use an NPC weapon.

I don't think java graal even supports multiplayer anymore

Why? There's nothing written that says you can't have a previous version.

SaijinGohan 08-11-2003 06:01 AM

Hmm. Java graal is cool. :P Ah I remember the days when you had to change playerworld by changing port numbers. ^_^.

But they were released weren't they? What if someone kept 1.31 in a folder for 4 years or whatever. That's not illegal...

unixmad 08-11-2003 10:55 AM
