Another Playerworld Poll

Do you think there should be maps?
If so what kind?

Map no icon = You can see the map and figure out relativaly where you are by looking for landmarks or using a little common sense but it doesn't show your big head on the map.

Map Icon = You can see map and where you are by your huge head icon you... you fat head.

No Map = No you cant see a map you should draw one on a sheet of paper or learn your directions.

!!!!!! Just wondering what the people think

Also Would you like to be able to buy better maps? or earn better maps in a quest that show more detail??? like maybe you start off with a map that is realy limmited ya know like mountain over there and a hill and some water but no detail then you start getting cliffs and towns and what not on it with a better purchased map. Or a realy rough land sketch map and maybe you can place icons on it like in G2k2 I realy like their mapping system.

(Sorry for reviving, but I think it's a good question)

I'd much rather have the map icon, since treasure hunting with no icon on Classic is a huge pain in the ass. It's much better to have yourself on the map, anyway.

No map at all, it'd be interesting to see player drawn maps. (Eg, people scanning them and posting them for others to see).

Won't work.. they will just turn auto-map on and it will make it for them.

Where did you say that?
Unless this
"there's a no automap line for gmaps"
means
"you can add a param to disable automapping"

In that case what I said here
"Won't work.. they will just turn auto-map on and it will make it for them."
Really means
"Just add a param to disable automaping"
