I know this should be in the information thread, but my question will probably not be answered.

I just bought summon avatar and I'm afraid I'll fail it for the third time. My int is 7 (barb) and my wis is 14. I can get 2 int+2 rings/2 wis+2 rings so I want to know what effects how I learn prayers.

I've asked many different people and the answer is always different.

It leaves me an unclear answer. If someone could verify which one effects how I learn prayers, that'd be great.

A barbs Int and wisdom suck, ask to borrow some rings from people there are some +int 2 and +wis 2 in 1 ring,when you buy again ask to borrow some and you are boun to learn,i learned restoreation at level 9 wisdom :D

Get high lvl int and wisdom lvls, for avatar its wisdom that decides it but its good to have alot of int with it. Avatar is a spell, its a bodily being of the god.

What I do is I buy a couple of prayers and fail them. And then I use a better prayer/spell it's never failed fer me :D

The more INT you have the better. It's also better to be high in Mental level as well...

Unless the engine was modified for learning spells and such (which it wasn't), your wisdom stat and wisdom skill level determine your % chance to learn a prayer.

Learning spells, on the other hand, is based on your intelligence stat and your magic skill level.

Learning skill scrolls is based on your intelligence stat and your mental skill level.

If you need int+ or wis+ items, I have some you can use.

I have rings that will give int+5, or rings that will give wis+4. Just contact me on AIM if you need to borrow them (this goes for Lyndzey and, perhaps, anyone else that is trustworthy).
