RC (again)
 

I am sure it has been said before but it is really starting to bug me. Please do something so you can tell if something happens in RC Chat. I keep missing people while I am working on something else. Even if you just make the tray icon blink like with pms, it would be good.

So you're asking for a blink in the system try RC icon after every RC message sent? :| How about this...whenever your RC nickname or account is said, it puts blinks the RC system tray...but then, that'd be most likely more complicated to code. :rolleyes:

Yes after every rc chat when the window is not in focus. When you have other things open, or even certain parts of the RC itself (like script edit maximized in my case) you totally miss out on RC chat.

I had the same problems as you. I found that this program useful to keep windows on top at all times.

How about stefan just take all the good rc suggestions into account and fix all known bugs and release a new uber RC client im sure it would only take him a couple days and when is the new non beta graal client coming out? he said two days!

He is making one. Last time I heard he was fixing up the old one and adding things this week.

Well RC logs would still be good. And dont complain about privacy, its a working tool, you shouldnt be having conversations that could ruin you or be held against you.

Since when has anything Graal been on time? :) That problem could easily be fixed if they'd get more people doing the important things.

Well, supposedly in v3, the RC will actually be soft code driven. You know what that means? MODs a poppin'! So really, all Stef needs to do is gscript that checks to see if the window is in focus, the rest is a piece of cake.

I doubt we will see a new improved RC anytime v3 was said to be stable released many weeks ago.

That's why there needs to be more than one coder...but bah...

And our only coder is going on a vacation for two weeks to hitlerville :\ .

I bet 40 bucks that GK has serious problems while he's gone and there's gonna be no one that can fix them but him...

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, just read the first couple of posts...but Jagen was telling me last night that there's not going to be anymore RemoteControl.exe in the future...it's going to be all inside the graal.exe, so you'd have to be on player to be on RC.

For the most part I don't really like that idea, but for GP's I think it's a really good idea. GP's don't need to be on RC if they're not on player.

OMG I hope not id rather just keep this old rc that be forced to that O_O
Its more convienant as I can leave rc on all the time and run 2 seperate graal clients ( one on server and one offline editing) or I can do other things and i can keep an eye on whats going on such as logins and what not.

OH and also for alerting people when rc messages appear why dont we have a simple little sound effect??? it could even be selectable in the options. I recomended this alonnnnnnnnnnng time ago though although I dont think anyone heard me :)

Just have the tray icon blink twice or something when a new message comes in instead of havin it repeatedly flashing, that'd be useful for people who dont have their taskbar on auto-hide, but a sound effect could be useful also

Sound effects would get annoying so I hope you can customize it and turn it off and stuff... Also, sometimes with graal or other applications open that are using sound, other applications' sounds don't work. :(

Well I like the idea of it being scripted into the client better. It could prevent RC idling among other things.
