You really have to give a hand to those few souls talented enough to make original music for servers. Perhaps more would come out of the woodwork if there was a place to congregate.

A place to talk about music theory, a place to get new ideas for sound effect creation beyond the old metal sheet for thunder.

This is pretty stupid. How is the poll related to the message in the thread? Music is an important part of gameplay, yes, but that doesn't mean it deserves a forum. There are more factors involved here.

Its important, but there are so few people out there that can do it, I don't think we need a forum for it :X *doesnt vote*

Music is a very integral part of gameplay, or anything else for that matter.

Imagine Star Wars or a Horror "Flic" without music..

But, in all my time on Graal, I've met 4 midi makers... And only ONE of them made decent ones, not ones like the Stef midis that are short.. Boring.. Generic.. And repetitive.

Sounds to me like this poll, while asking a question which the majority will most likely answer 'yes' to, will be used as evidence we need a sound forum, which is not what the people would be directly voting for in this poll.

Most "Midi Makers" rip from games.

Some are smart and try old titles like Soul Blazer.

But I had someone submit Music to me once on Era from FFXII >.o

I prefer to think of a day where submitted midis aren't 100% Property of Graal such that people like my ex can submit midis they write on a lazy sunday and someday use them for something else too without triggering the lawyers

Agreed. That's why I won't submit my copyrighted music to Graal.

I never quite understood why they made it 100% GO property when it would suffice to say something along the lines of "You may not sue us over the usage of your submitted works."

Just need a nonexclusive license. By submitting you grant Graal Online an unlimited, nonexclusive license to your materials and certify that they are not bound under any prior copyright. So you can send in an awesome picture, and Graal can put it on their Greatest Hits CD or whatever and you can't say Hey, that's mine! - which would suck for Graal - and you can put it in your new game 10 years down the road and Graal can't say Hey, that's mine! - which would suck for you.
