New PW NPC Server problem

I noticed that after I tried to reboot my NPC Server, it started up (npcserver):NPC Server (Server) instead of Control-NPC (Server). It didn't connect NC or anything, and it would allow me to do /npcstart and make as many (npcserver) connections as I typed. If you go into your control panel on graal.net and restart the GSERVE(r) NOT an NPC Server. Once you do that, it will work.
The new serveroption 'nickname' allows you to name your NPC Server. It takes effect automatically, no need to reboot NC each time.
nickname=Test
That would set your NPC Server's name to Test (Server)
You however can NOT put a guild name, it's (Server) regardless.

That is if you even have a control panel on Graal.net , Npulse as of today doesn't have that option.

It's actually not a problem, I have updated the gservers and npcservers which are now easier configurable by us. If someone restarted the thing while I have updated the files there might be problems, I will try to fix them (restart the server with RC).

Nothing huge, glitch vs. starting NPC server up after rebooting it. What you have to do is go into Graal.net control panel and restart GServ0r.

Yes, Graal 3000 just found out about it. Its pretty sweet, and what would be the use of changeing the tag?

Well more of an abuseable clitch, allowing ProjectR to have a playercount of 140+

Changing the name of the NPC server on the server list to whatever you want. So instead of COntrol-NPC it could say like Graal3000(Server) or welcome to the graal3000(server)

He asked what good is changing the tag anyway. And there isnt one, other than abusing it if it was possible.

Well that's not true. There is at least one useful thing. I could name NPC Server:
Helper NPC (Server)
And make it answer questions, or record bugs or whatever. Or it can be used for Role Playing Purposes >:) Ever tried to amke NPC Server an Evil Guy? We'll see who wins next time... *fights Jonh (Server) The Evil guy from the future.*

The tribulation NPC Server was set up to do that a few days ago. It has a built in FAQ to answer some questions a player might have. As we go along it will probably have content added to cover a wider variety of questions that what it currently does.

and rebooting?

How often will the "hidden" playerworld npcserver and gservers be rebooted without the owners knowing about it?

becasue part of the structure of my npcs that will form commerce on my site, will rely on the npcserver being online for many days and weeks, reliably. Currently server uptime is 18 hours
and i have not rebooted it for a week, and no one else has that login information.

Please inform of how often all npcservers/gservers will be rebooted, or if theres a way to get around saving your server wide variables on a reboot - can it write the strings to a file, like a "backup" button we can click to save serverside staus?

Most commonly is when a new version is fully released.
