Possible bug?

On my brothers account Hydrogen_X, I think there may be a bug of some sort..an unknown sort...or something. All at one time, his map just stopped working (like updateing location of boats) and the messages at the bottom of the screen involving other players dont show up anymore. We tried doing party messages, watching for PKs, none of it shows up at the bottom right like it normaly does. Can anyone help us?

Do you know if he simply tried reconnecting?

I don't know what happened to your map, but maybe he typed /listen 0 at some point? try typing /listen 20 and see if that fixes something :\

/Listen 0 doesn't even work for me.

Yea, he tried reconnecting, and i'll have him try the "/listen 20" thing and see if it works.

what is the /listen level that it normal starts out at?

armyslugs0075 07-22-2003 03:11 AM

I'm having the same problem and its been like this for over Month and a half.......

skyler87 07-22-2003 04:43 AM

Well, saying /listen 20 did fix the message at the bottom of the screen thing, but the map is still screwed, and he sees EVERYTHING that happens, including people doing maps and killing hundreds of evil deivils and whatnot. I just need to figure out what the origional /listen level was, and how to fix his map. Was it just your map, army? Or both?

Judge_S 07-23-2003 09:44 AM

I don't know what the verbose level is to begin with, but I'd assume it's somewhere around two or three.
Just fiddle around with it.

There isn't a list with all the possible modes, is there?

The /listen command doesn't even work for me...

armyslugs0075 07-23-2003 10:12 PM

It's just my Map, and its annoying trying to find boats.

graaliholic 07-25-2003 07:31 AM

/listen 20 will get you about EVERY message. I normally go with /listen 10, which shows people signing on/off, and pks/duels. sometimes i'll also use /listen 1 though, which will still let you right-click check things, and recieve messages from /ksay /party say and /tell <person>, and status messages without everything else showing up.

Satrek2000 07-25-2003 08:09 AM

Last time I checked I was told that /tell has been removed, at least it didn't really work for me...
