Gold Tab ... GONE!

I logged on to the client this morning and the entire Gold tab was gone. What happened?

And tab = dead, as it detects if servers are in that tab.

With G2K1 moved onto Classic, all that needs to happen is for 2K2 to go down in order for the tab to dissappear.

Well Debug is a gold server, so if that was up, maybe the tab would still be kicking.

GhettoChild 07-13-2003 06:51 PM

So what we're trying to say is Why is 2k2 down and when will it be back up?

Although the answer would be useful too, chances are just server issues. But anyway he was just asking why gold tab is gone.

Thallen 07-13-2003 11:53 PM

Graal Kingdoms is down, the Gold tab is of no need except to waste about a second of time. Would you rather it simply have a blank tab?

TripleE 07-13-2003 11:56 PM

Hopefully the server is just being reset.

thelostviking 07-14-2003 12:25 AM

Its not sry. Babies like DRAGON X would cry too loud.

brock128 07-14-2003 12:28 AM

I hope 2k2 is totally gone.

Then all my dreams have come true :)

I'm sure not only DragonX would "Cry". Have you seen DX's hours and level and probly his equipment too? He has all the right too be pissed if the server was reset because he worked hard for his stuff like many other people. Unlike you obviously who just want to be matched to everyone else!

Oh man, I would love to say something but I don't want to sink down to your level cause you'd probably beat me with experience.

brock128 07-14-2003 01:23 AM

Nobody should be uberobsessed with 2k2 - it's in beta, and it will be reset.

If it ever comes up again ^_^

You took my role as super hero. Thanks you mad pimp.:)

Googi 07-14-2003 05:58 AM

And you don't need to take down the server to reset it anyways, and even if you did, it wouldn't be for most of the day.

1. Nice avatar :( *jelousy emoticon*
2. I don't get the experience joke :(
3. GK does need fixes that a reset would fix, but a reset is not NEEDED. For example, alchemy items should be deleted since they can no longer be made OR even better, bring back the ability to produce them. I really doubt it was intended to make alchemy items freely producable, and then take them out to let time decide how rare and valuable they become. It's really frusterating on any MMORPG to come long after the last reset, or since the game came up, because most of the server is at a level you'll have to work an extremely long time to get to. Missing holiday items (by joining the server late) is just as frusterating, but made up for by bringing back the same items every holiday. However, to add to these problems, you have alchemy items. Where players could have made their own cool item, or buy one at competiting prices. But now, people can charge as much as they'd like. There's really no competition in the market for selling alchemy items as people wouldn't really like to sell them at all. The differences between old and new players should only be minimal and traditional (mostly exp...). Maybe if alchemy items were over-powered by other items, things would be better. For example, an item like chainmail of berwean, that gives just as good speed if not more. Then the alchemy items can remain as trophies of the old days only. There, that's 3 possibilities. Delete the items, allow them to be made again (with set recipes? I don't know much on this, but it sounds as if the recipes were random), or over-power them and do a sufficient job with it.

Ehrm, sorry for getting off topic. x_x

Please tell me you're kidding. That's an old, though very effective, joke.

Yes it was planned to remove the alchemy items, it's just a lot of work and can be frustating for players if they bought the item for a lot of money and then it just disappears. It might be better to make the recipes working, some staff started to redo the recipes (using available items) but I don't know what happened with that.

Crono 07-15-2003 02:21 PM

For a second, seeing gold gone was like a dream come true. I looked down and say "You have -insert days- to play blahblah" and I'm like..damn x_X

I'd imagine it would be easier on everyone to that than doing the other solutions which I proposed (deleting items makes people mad...making items to over-power them would probably take more time than making the recipes working again).

DarkHero, I understood the part about not wanting to sink down to his level x_X But I didn't understand the part of beating someone with experience...untill writing this sentence. x_x
