An additional supermod?
 

Hmm well, aftershock is gone, and Kaimetsu tends not to be on AIM/forums during the day time, so perhaps a additional supermod is needed? Not to mention I need another mod I can whine to other then Kaimetsu =P.

Just post who you think should be a additional supermod then maybe a poll can get going.

...? I'm on the forums for the majority of the day. I'm not always signed into AIM, but you can always forum PM me. Besides, the situation is no different to when Aftershock was still supermod, simply because he was completely inactive.

Personally I just think more then one forum leader is needed heh, although I'm sure you don't agree, we can see what other users say.

Valve recently released a utility named 'Steam', which basically allows you to stream games off the internet, downloading as you go. Half-Life is one of the games included in the beta test of the utility. However, their 'streaming' leaves something to be desired; every time you enter a new area, it pauses for a number of minutes while it downloads the next section of the game. In those minutes, I check the forums.

Lighten up, gosh. You don't need all the power all the time...you would still be a supermod so it makes no difference who I harrass and who I don't, because you would still be able to stop it. I would expect you would at least be able to figure that out, mr. logical genius -_-

Whether you're being unintentionally stupid or it's just an act, you're clearly missing the point. You made this thread mere minutes after I warned you about harrassing Tyrial. You obviously want a second moderator to be appointed so that he/she can oppose me in your favour. That's your motive. You want somebody to overturn whatever punishments you receive, and to cancel out my judgement so that you can harrass people however much you want.

I only just downloaded it. I'm playing through Half-Life, then I might move onto CS.

I have 4 days of gold left Kai, I am going to be off these forums I am doubt I will come back. You just don't want another person who can mod because you want all the power, but the fact is I really don't like talking to you about forum issues, and I am sure others don't as well. You have a hostile feeling about you constantly, and you seem to just want to shrug everyone off. I barely ever see you say "bye" or "hey how are you", and it is just a little awkward. I would rather be able to talk to another supermod who actually has some personality, character, and variety rather then such a monotonous, argumentative, robotic individual which you are.

It may be a stupid reason, but a reason none the less, and I don't see why you wish to insult me over it.

Didn't you just argue that a second supermod wouldn't diminish my power? And it wasn't so long ago that you were praising me as a supermod. Opinions aren't like light bulbs. You can't just change them when they don't work for you anymore.

I'm only hostile when the situation warrants it. Say, for example, when a forum member ignores my warnings and continues to attack people. Other times I'm like a big teddy bear.

Well, that's fair enough, but I've never intentionally discouraged anybody from contacting me. My disinterest in chatting is not relevant to my role as supermod.

Talk to some people who actually know me and you might hear a different story. I simply don't choose to share aspects of my personality with people who don't interest me.

I might do in the future, once I've finished Half-Life.

And as MoonGod has said, isn’t it up to the people who hire to hire. Players seem to be wanting to recruit all the staff lately. Okay your just giving opinions or showing support, but you could be building yourself up, as someone else said, for false hopes.

I've had Steam since like January. I did play CS all the time, then passed it on to Brad and DragonX. I managed to get the beta in January when it was supposed to come out.

I think Kai does a great job at super mod, so I don't think we need a new one yet.

I'm actually a little scared to play CS for the first time, because I know how much of a butt-kicking I'll get. I'm usually pretty good at multiplayer FPSs, but I need to practice first :(

Once I reinstall CS you can play me to get your confidence boosted up to play with the rest of the players.

Buy a PS2 and get SOCOM.

Me for SuperMod;) I browse,and usually post on every thread a few times a day. I know the rules also.But until we actually need a new,or another supermod...I think Kai is fine. Kai for Forum Admin!!

Soul, stop being a prick to Kai. Just because you don't get your way, you have to whine. You and I used to be friends, and then one day you were in a bad mood and you've been a jerk ever since. When I first read this thread, I saw it as an attempt for you to gain power, which I'm not sure isn't your intention. And you with your server, and keeping it all locked up and hiding everything and then showing off once in a while, it's pathetic. So grow up.

I dont think he is trying to get power. ANd he would most likely be braught down by some players anyways. Nothing to worry about. but if he was picked to be supermod,whoever hired him would have made that decision for a reason. He was just pointing out that there wasnt 2 supermods liek there usually is.

Seems to me I recall being chewed out by Soul about saying anything against Kai no matter how small it was and now it seems the tide has turned. I have known Soul for a good while (3 years) and yet I have been on the same side I have always been, I don't choose sides to suit how the wind blows. I am consistently the same as I always am now nor will I change any time soon. :whatever:

That Steam sounds kinda iffy. I mean, the download while you play sounds wonderful (kinda) but do you still have to pay for it or something? And is it still capable of playing online? (Doy) :p

Yes, I don't think there is any need for another one. Kai does his job very well. He warned me once to stop harassing some guy who was banned the next day for the third time I believe, but thats besides the point.

Kaimetsu, the fact is I am not attacking your ability to mod, because you are a good moderator. I am attacking your ability to communicate with others. I would rather be able to talk with a friendly mod, rather then you. I try to show friendship, and you only respond with hostility and a robotic personality, and I can't stand it. You helped me alot with script, and every time you did it seemed like you did not want to. Why do you never say anything? Why can't you just say "Leave me alone"? It drives me insane. I can't tell what you are thinking, are you just that way? Or do you really not want to help with anything?

And to anyone who says "I'm in this for power" What the hell are you talking about? I wouldn't accept any power if it was shoved in my face, because I am satisfied with what I have. PS, you are a *****.

There are some freakin reasons I keep my world private, see its this little thing called "I actually want to make a good PW rather then the crap I see online". Understand? No, I don't think you do, and I doubt 99% of the people who read this do, because no one else seems to care about spending time on making a good PW.

In my eyes, this whole thing is about power. It's about you trying to gain vicarious power against me. If that's true then yes, I oppose it. Is that because I want all the power? No. It's because anybody who could fulfil your wishes would be a bad supermod.

The problem isn't my ability to communicate, but rather my inclination. And I understand your feelings, but it's hardly a reason to appoint another moderator. Most people don't seem to have any problems with contacting me.

If I didn't want to help then I wouldn't have helped, but I did so because the project interested me. I like scripting. I didn't do it out of friendship because I don't consider you a friend. You're just somebody I know.


Well, yes, he was banned shortly after. But that doesn't mean he didn't deserve protection from harrassment. It's about equality, y'know? One set of standards for everybody.

Looking back at this, just wanted to apologize for it. Kaimetsu is the best mod I have ever seen, and is extremely non-bias. Though I disagree with him, it was wrong to insult his ability and him because he does not agree with me. A additional mod is not needed, and will not be needed so long as Kaimetsu is in power.

I was on the top 10 users for like a week :o

It's fine as it is. Another supermod would just cause another power struggle between Kai and whoever the new Supermod is.

Kaimetsu is doing an excellent job as supermod, but I disagree that another supermod would directly result in a power struggle. It really would depend on who the other supermod would be.

Why are you people posting people who aren't even mods now? or never have been? I am sure a SuperMod is there was another appointed would have to at least be current or have been a mod at one time.
