Here's a few things I thought should change with 3.x...

1. In the client and RC, if you get a red X followed by a message, "The Connection cannot be established", it does not allow you to try to reconnect. Instead it will completely close the program. I don't think it should do that. It only seems to happen if you try to connect with no internet connection present (or in my case if my router messes up and I try to connect)

2. The default folder should be changed to something besides Graal2001...I know you can make it whatever you want, but for cosmetic purposes I think the year should be changed at least.

3. Drop the transparent buddy list. It was okay at first but is increasingly more annoying. I also don't like how it cannot leave the Graal window.

4. Change the mapping of the emoticons that are triggered with CTRL+A CTRL+S CTRL+D and CTRL+Q...
It is very annoying when you use the Grin emoticon and your NPC weapon is fired as well...I've lost AP, been warped somewhere I didn't want to be, etc. because of this...hehe

5. Clean up the interface. It's looking good but just needs a little tweaking.

Not too bad of suggestion, not at all. I think the RC should have a new updated skin to go along with the newer look of the Graal client, as well.

Stefans going to add a few ideas of mine into the new version of RC, I think he will do that too.

Disable emotes alltogether X_X, I hate them, they take up room. and you can still do type-emotes like : ) : ( : D ;_; ^_^ ~_^.... etc

Bingo. Though I can handle the fact it's transparent, I detest how it cannot even leave the window.
Also, it would be nice to have the same setup as the 2.2 buddy list, with the different sections (Staff, Buddy List, Guild, Players, Ignore).
We should be able to organize the list by playername, if it isn't already (I don't pay attention.)
Lastly, when someone sends a message, be it a toguild, mass message, or just a PM, the player's name should go to the top of the list, so you don't have to go searching the list, if someone messages you.

Frankly, I prefer 2.2, only for the playerlist, and because I can set my own font - the default one is too square, for me.

RCs should be a different colour, such as Red in the RC Player list for quick recognision when you are scrolling down, and will help if you are doing things too quick to notice you are rightclicking the RC for accnt attribs and not the client... :eek:

Something thet'll grab peoples attention. Maybe a bright blue or yellow.

Yep! Except I like the fact taht you can hit f7 again and it goes away, keep that.

Heh, you juss gotta be a lil more careful I suppose. :)
Although we could replace them with the #'s, but if you havn't noticed, most of them correspond with their letter.

You can add this line to common/ui/themes/default/defaulttheme.th:

GuiBitmapBorderProfile.transparency = 1;

That should make the player list non-transparent. It will soon be possible to script the player-list.

Like adding specific groups instead of the default Guild, Buddies, Staff, etc.?

stefan, please make it so it can leave the screen too, that is annoying.

Yellow would be very hard to read.

A playerlist to match the graal start up screen would look good. Like darkgreen background with text that stands out well. Maybe some gfx to make it not so boring? lol

Well, the way Stefan is talking you'll be able to have customized menus, etc. specifically for your playerworld. I think that's quite an awesome idea.
