globalguilds=false

'globalguilds=false' - It shouldnt disable global staff guilds, its annoying on some PWs when I am on there doing work, as I either get killed, or I feel weird if I have to warpto someone.

And it would be useful to reconise staff, as they may not know the staff, but a tag on will allow them to do so.

I agree

What is the point of that anyway, you shouldn't be able to disable global guilds one one particular server.

And why not? Global guilds can interfere with groups that represent something on one's server.

IE... Era.

I bet if they didn't disable global guild tags, people would try and make soo many different types of gangs official and all. Or some idiots would go and make some local gang/business global just to cause trouble.

Before on Era, when they weren't disabled, it was hard to tell which gangs/businesses were officical on the server since everyone sported global tags a lot. Kinda smart if you ask me that they disabled them..

To spark... they can add in guild names that go around the filter I think.. I may be wrong though. But if its true, they should add gloabl staff tags for situations like you said.

Spark910 06-30-2003 10:05 AM

Yeah Era detects a guild tag, and triggers certain things, such as allows you to take over bases, also it keeps it easier, as only the nations/gangs/clans you allow are allowed on.

And about a filter, I dont know, maybe there is, anyone know if thats true/possible?

Most idiots dont have a Gold or VIP account so you wont have to worry to much about that. (You need a Gold or VIP account to make a global guild)

Don't disable them, but filter them using a script. You add all the offical guilds into a function along with strequals and if it detects anything but them offical tag it takes off your tag.

That way you can filter out anything but offical tags and staff tags.

Like Chris said, yes, just like Era. Wonder how the disabled the global guilds, seems pretty amazing to me, but then again, I cannot script. :p
