Graal Player Stats

http://graal.us has some really cool stats on there. I'm pretty proud of myself because once I saw that the Graal.net domain was opened I wondered "what ever happened to that site Mafukie hosted? It was down for a while..." and then BAM there it was. Crazy, I know.

Dead pictures? What are you talking about? There's a very interesting bar graph that shows the amount of players on Graal for each day of the month. And then below it is a graph showing how many people have logged on today and regular intervals... And it says the last time it was updated was June 26, 2003 5:00 CDT which was 15 minutes ago... So it's not "dead".

I see them, that's quite interesting.

Fun to check around on.

osrs 06-27-2003 01:32 AM

who made this site? is it official?

Loriel 06-27-2003 01:42 AM

It is very interesting, although I miss the option to display, or even download, the detailed data for individual servers.

NovaNET 06-27-2003 01:52 AM

When unixmad sets me up and we get the guild system finished ill perhaps make a more in depth stats system and we can put it on the graal site and make it official with player stats.

SingleChance 06-27-2003 01:59 AM

Your point being? It has his email at the top and his network hosting site at the bottom. :\

Golbez 06-27-2003 04:46 AM

A lot of people probably got off of school on that day, or something.

ASouthernMan 06-27-2003 05:34 AM

I think the site is run by Mafukie and T3CK

Questa 06-27-2003 05:40 AM

I think it's hosted by Mafukie, but coded by Rick. Nexose networks is Mafukie's (aka Elliot) hosting company.

I did. It is not official per sé, but unixmad and I have talked about it, and he wishes to be affiliated.

If you are really interested in more detailed statistics, i'd like to hear about it -- i'm sure I can whip something up for you.

Yes.

Can I ask where you got the idea that T3CK is working on it?

That is correct.

To others:
Thank you for your compliments, etc. I posted a news update on the site prior to this reply, it pretty much answers all the same questions here, perhaps in a more detailed manner.

Ricky, I remember Mafukie said the new Graal Network (graal.us) webmaster/admin guy after Hawk put up all the illegal stuff was T3CK, then the server with the site on it crashed and the network went bye-bye =(

Aha! You're right, I completely forgot about that possibility. THe Graal Network site was shut down in frustration that people kept dealing with the "illegal" stuff. After it being down for awhile, I asked Elliot if I could use the domain for an idea, and it turned out well (into what it is today).

The "illegal" stuff was from when Hawk was an admin. The site got shut down (a closed message came up) but T3CK and some other guy asked to reopen the site, and it did. It was successful for a month, but then the DNS or whatever crashed, and no more Graal Network =(

Then you come in. I like the service, though, it's really useful for figuring out what time of day to do events, etc.

Well, as I didn't really follow that Graal Network, I didn't really know what happened with it, I do recall the incident with HAWK, though.

I'm glad somebody does use GUS for it's information,
