Hey all.
Im Squall and im makin a server and im in need of NPC Scripters.
If you are a GREAT scripter and are intrested in a job on my server post a message and ill get back to you.

All the GREAT scripters have better things to do. Y'see, everybody wants us scripting maniacs but there just aren't enough of us to go around. Thus, you have to tempt us with fame, freedom or, ideally, money.

And I personally have made an oath never to work for anybody with a name ripped off from any popular game/TV show.

and there are lots of people that want to work for servers just because you dont doesnt mean everyone doesnt

There are lots of people who want to work for GOOD servers. Until you show them something to convince them, I'll guarantee nobody great will join with you.

Solution: Tell us a little about why we ("we" meanig the Graal population as a whole) should be interested in working for your server and not one of the other ones.

Cause mines is great.
Im not revealing nothing just now so that they can be stolen.
But i think im being generous offering staff positions just now cause when the servers up people will be begging to be staff but ill need to be really strict

I'm of the opinion that the best server owners are great scripters, as these are in the best position to guage what Graal can and can't do. So, I wouldn't even think of working for him unless I respected his scripting ability.

Son, you're new so here's a word of advice: Nobody will want to work somewhere just because you say "It's great". Do you realise how many other people make the same claim? No, you have to show them that you are skilled yourself, and that you have good ideas as well.

Perhaps, but it isn't any fun that way because I'll never see you again when your hopes are dashed. I'd much rather mock you here before you realise how hopeless your predicament is.

Just give me one reason why a scripter would want to work at your place.

Well how bout this.
They will work for me and gain my trust and the more of my trust they gain the more of the server and the NPCs on it they see. And then they will relize that it is a great server so will want to continue working for it.

Nonono. You've just pretty much resaid "It's great".

The problem is, they don't know if it really is great or not because they haven't seen any of it. For all they know, it could be terrible. You have to convince them that it is great before they'll want to work there.

So, again, give me one reason.

Well obviously when a player becomes staff they get to see some of the server and some of the NPCs so obviously when they seen them they would know if they are good or not.

Okay, I suppose that's a better reason. They'd get a look at the server itself. But it's a big commitment to decide "I'm gonna work here". Every server lets its staff see the world itself, so why is yours superior to those?

Well they decide to work for the server then if there not enjoying it they can easily quit. Every server has something special to offer. Some more than others though.

And some don't even tell people what they're offering.

alex he is just sayin that you aren't offerin any info on your server such as how many lvls what scripts you have so far stuff like that ( i think thats what he means)
