Graal Website, Guild System Update

Dear Graalians,

As some of you know i will be assuming the duties of webmaster for Graal. There of course with all gaming companies and business deals are legal aspects which must be handled prior to work be started. So as soon as i recieve the paperwork from Unixmad it will be sent back and the guild system will be finished in a quick and orderly manner along with finishing the remainder of the graalonline.com website.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to our players further enjoyment of the many offerings graal provides.

ZanderX 06-18-2003 01:41 AM

Yay.

Johnny_5 06-18-2003 02:02 AM

Will this include the creation of new guilds as well ?

Lyndzey 06-18-2003 02:07 AM

That's good to hear.

I know there have been some complaints about the website saying to email [email protected], that needs to be fixed.

Indeed,

the plan is really based on priority at this point in the following order.

1) Complete Graal Guild System (Fully Working)
2) Finish Vital Website Functions (Accounts, Profiles, Options, PM's etc.)
3) Upgrade Forums to v2.3.0

If you have any further questions feel free to e-mail me or instant message me on AIM or even SMS me.

Going to make a new design? If so, I dont mind helping with the graphics.

NovaNET 06-19-2003 03:43 AM

Yeah, Spark i will be working on some Toys more or less to improve the overall options when using the site after the first things get finished and as for designs i was thinking after everything is completed of having several interfaces to choose from and users can pick their favorite and make custom settings like fonts and languages and such and it will be saved so they have a custom experience when using graalonline.com .

Shiftk03- 06-19-2003 03:50 AM

I'm hoping these aren't the normal idle promises that pop-up every now and then.

NovaNET 06-19-2003 03:53 AM

Just waiting on unixmad at this point sent him a e-mail the other day.

zell12 06-19-2003 06:01 AM

How come the font to the menu text is different and the text goes off the menu? :(

superb 06-19-2003 06:38 AM

let us choose nicknames! XD XD

Kaimetsu 06-19-2003 06:51 AM

Please don't go crazy with hacks, at least discuss them with the moderators first :(

Kinatt 06-19-2003 07:44 AM

Taking forever huh? No one ever blamed Unix or Cyberjourers for being right on time for anything, so no real surprise here. Nova Ide probably be lookin for another job my guess is those papers didn't get lost in the mail.

TripleE 06-20-2003 03:26 AM

Scalper 06-20-2003 04:34 AM

Good show, Nova.

NovaNET 06-20-2003 06:36 PM

Not that i really need to go into detail discussing my personal life but i was busy at the time i had just moved to san francisco and had a chaotic and unpredictable work schedule but im now doing fine as far as my schedule and daily life. In fact working 30 hours a week or so and have a large excess of cash something like $1200 to blow on stuff for my apartment (Computers, CD's, Minidiscs, parties etc.) Adn as for dropping projects... i dont recall dropping any projects I still am helping with all the projects i worked on before. Unixmad offered some reimbursement but cash isnt my thing and i already have VIP and Gold setup for the next two years or so.

NovaNET 06-20-2003 06:47 PM

protagonist 06-20-2003 06:52 PM

Or perhaps, remove it all together.

That would be rash.
It would be cool if you could kill other members.

And on a related note, add a link to some rules in the bottom right on forums.

AlkarenHyralt 06-20-2003 11:02 PM

I'm guessing a month to two months.

NovaNET 06-20-2003 11:14 PM

Well i have been working on a set of rules tell me how these sound they are just a suggestive set of rules anyways.

Graal Online Forum Policy

Ignorance is never bliss. Suspension is a definite consequence of breaking any rules listed herein.

The basic ground rules for discussions on the Graal Online are simple: be polite, use common sense, don't break the law and don't post any message that even hints at violating the following. We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within those posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined both here and on the Forum. We reserve the right to remove, modify or move posts at our discretion and without explanation. If you have any questions, please e-mail the moderators.

In addition to the rules posted here members are required to follow any directions/rules issued by a staff member.

*Members are intended to post within the topic of each board and as such any content which doesnt fit the topic is not allowed. *Members may not use the FORUM for the purpose of harrasment, slander, threats, spamming, hacking etc. towards any person and especially against staff or Cyberjouers.
*Members may not use the Forum for any purpose which alters the general activities of the community. *Members are expected to respect all other members of the community aswell as staff members.
*Members are to refrain from excessive posting of any same topic as it slows the general flow of communication and is considered spam.

We take the "be polite" rule VERY seriously! We do not tolerate ANY rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive will receive one warning (at our discretion), and if the member offends again the member will be disciplined without warning.

Finally, any abuse towards our staff and/or management will result in immediate suspension of your account or other discipline.

zell12 06-20-2003 11:27 PM

I worked hard to get this level dont erase it! lol

protagonist 06-20-2003 11:29 PM

Defining your criteria for rudeness would be helpful. Make sure arguing isn't rude, or 99% of the forum users will be banned.

Which law?

I heavily object against the term "hacking" in this use. Make it "cracking". Seriously.

Elaborate. Does that mean, no rebellions?

What defines a member of the community?
If someone signs up to this board, I am ultimately forced to respect him/her, even if it someone, uh, very not-respect-deserving?

Huh, I may not talk much about a certain topic?

Define "abuse".

And are you becoming an Admin of the forums?

Darlene159 06-21-2003 12:19 AM

NovaNet, those rules are very vague, and have alot of holes in them, though I agree with most of it, it needs to be more specific.
Trust me, with the graal players, you cant leave anything open :\

superb 06-21-2003 12:19 AM

what's wrong with the rules we already have...

Some dont apply, some need to be added. Nova should look at them and just modify instead of starting from scratch.

-Albus 06-21-2003 12:26 AM

Don't worry about the rules, worry about the guild CP!

Kaimetsu 06-21-2003 01:26 AM

Again, rules should be discussed with the mods before they are put into effect :\

NovaNET 06-21-2003 01:32 AM

Definately, Kai

just some ideas for some additions. I get ahold of you later this evening im going clubbing.
