10/10 Level?
 

Have any of you ever seen a level which you would rate 10/10? If so post a pircture here!

There is no such thing as a 10/10 level, no matter how good you are, you can always be better, anyway, it's opinion based, so it might be 10/10 for someone and 4/10 for someone else.

A level that I would rate a 10/10 would be a level that has the following

- A consistent unique style of detailing.
- Absolutely no tile errors.
- Has tiles that were used correctly and in the right environment.

Perhaps so, but there is an upper limit to how good a level can be (relative to a constant set of judging standards). Even if a person fails to reach that limit, his/her score may still be rounded up to ten.

The question implied subjectivity. He didn't ask if you'd seen levels that can objectively be rated 10/10, he asked for levels to which you would give that rating.

Kai, "you" often means the general audience, not necessarily each individual.

I didn't think he was asking the general audience here. I thought he wanted each persons opinion. I gave my opinion, which I'm sure is different than most others that post in this section. So usually I do rate most people's levels a bit higher than others.

I usually take 1-2 points off for tile errors.
I look to see if things are consistent. If they are then I don't take any points off, but if their tiling drastically changes throughout the level then I may take a point off.
I consider a few other things also, but I won't continue to go into further detail.

I don't rate people in general, I don't think that it's worth it to "measure" how good a person is, instead I prefer to help them with how they can change it to make it better.

not bad, i'd give it an 8/10

What are you talking about? His post or yours? His was obviously a per-person deal, since he said 'have any of you seen'. Yours doesn't matter, because I was faulting the assumption that 10/10 is impossible, not the specific wording thereof.
