Hiring staff
 

I am hiring staff for Sanstrata it seems like me and alarid pretty much do all the work and well I need some staff...
I am looking for Kai level or a little below scripters.
I am looking for Leet gani people like Karsh.
I am also looking for 1 graphic person must be very well skilled because other wise me and Alarid can handle the tileset.
I will post a snapshot made in ms paint with the tileset since it is over 256 colors in a few days. I am raising the water to clif tiles a lot so it dont look like a golf corse. I am redoing the trees and youl love the new castle tiles. I'm going to make a new house later and as always if you wish to make your own body or head in sans template just ask for it ill post it.

My castle tiles alone are 128 colors + having a bunch of detailed clif and watertiles will surely be way over 256 colors....

GOOD LORD?! I don't even need that much for my tiles! Dude! You really ought to use a dithering effect across the entire set or just on some of the parts. That's overkill! Heck I have a nice tree that Soul Blade gave me a long time ago. I mean, its really nice with lots of color but it doesn't take anywhere near that many colors and, obviously, when I had it in my older tilesets, it took even less and it still looked great.

You ought to take them out and use addtiledef2 if you really want to maintain all that color.

I know about dithering I just want full detail though I can split the tileset in to 50 peices. I would rather wait untill graal 3.0 comes out so I can save it all in one big ass 24 bit color file...

Then I won't even bother visiting your PW then. I'd rather not waste my time downloading a huge 2mb+ img. That is unless the MNG format Stefan will be using has a nice compression on it ;) If it does, then maybe. My only other interest in it is that it has alpha-channel...now that opens up a lot of possibilities for me :D

DITHERING? what is this act of dithering you speak of!

Lol I'm not sure it will be 2mb but suit your self though I dought you wont check it out....

x-x good pixelers can make good effects WITHOUT using a ton of colors, zen is the global graphics admin and he is REALLY good, and he hardly uses any colors since he doesn't have good effect programs like photoshop

well donald said he made all of this in MS paint, and it has that many diffrent colors, that is why i cannot wait to see if this is true or not :O!

It may not be 2mb, but its still more than I'm willing to download :p

heck, my terrain tileset is only 64kb and it only uses 142 colors and I still maintain a pretty good amount of detail. That and I also can't have a lot things on the tileset since certain objects don't work well on a terrain tileset like house tiles ;)

I will do monsters. Bodies are bloody hard for me, I have only done one template that looks really good but its for secret project... said to much >:]

no i do not know what color dithering is, i may do it and not know that it is called this but i have never heard of the tearm dithering so please explane

Its an image effect that blends colors. Depends upon the algorithm used. Floyd-Steinberg is the most common as it can do some nice blending of colors. Look at the blending effect I did on my dialog window. That is good example of what Floyd-Steinberg dithering does.

That looked cool. I think I might make a signature using that dithering effect. What program do you use for that Mr.G_Yoshi?

Most graphics software that can convert to 256 color will use a dithering effect.

psp7 would work...

Right... There are only 2 people as good as Karsh in Ganis... And one of them is Karsh *laughs*.

There are only 5-6 good scripters that may measure up to Kaimetsu, and all of them are working for 2002.

There are many talented GFX Makers, they are as easy to come by nowdays as Level Makers. Mainly because most of LMs after looking at Birdbird_0 went into GFXs to increase the appeal of their levels :).

I doubt many people would want to work for Sanstrata though, unless they played it, and liked it.

More like 2-3. Obviously Stefan, possibly a couple of others. Certainly not as many as five (unless they're superhidden guys or something).

I have a friend who is compairable to Kai that doesnt work on GK. :) Just the only ones people know alot about are the ones who work on GK. Because its GK and they get alot of publicity.
