rclog addition
Please also log the date/time each account logs off RC. Then we can use the login time and logout time to see hoe much time staff are helping form RC.
|
I will do it, although sometimes
it will not help because someone get disconnected and the RC stays online and a 'no movement' kicking would be weird (must the RC send a PM all 20 minutes to stay online?) |
so have it log a 'no movement' kicking as a logoff also
|
I think what he's saying is that you can't detect movement in RC reliably, therefore you can't do a no-movement kick. He'd have to require the staffer to send a mass message every 20 minutes, if they do they're on if they don't they're off.
I say detect PMs being clicked. In RC, if you open a PM (Optional: Or load an account, load player attributes, edit server strings), it sends a note back to the server "Still alive". If the server notices you've gone 20 minutes without a "Still alive" (Optional: and you have incoming PMs), it kicks you and notes you went idle 20 minutes ago. If you're "Helping" from RC and you can't answer a single PM in 20 minutes...you don't deserve to get credit for it! |
hmmm yes clicking on a PM might be good,
may be i could also add that in graal (sending to the server a message that you have read the PM of player with id x, could be sent to the other player to inform him that the message arrived) |
rc
stefan make a thing for level4 rc's when u look into a staff acount to set there level make a advanced were u can set exalcy what they can do

Clicking PMS?
What if no one PMS you?
|
HAhah
PMS. lol I ment PMs Private Messages You.. Sorry to all thouse who were dumbfounded or offended.
|
Instead of making the RC boot you off, I suggest that the timer stops counting minutes. When the RC user starts activity again, then the timer starts again. Is it possible to put something in to detect mouse and keyboard movement? Maybe not such a good idea with the bots used on the ad programs that use that method.
|
well I think
I think you should just check if they do anything on rc for the last 20 mins...
(I mean anything or most of the things you do on rc sends data to the server)... like if you load players attributes it sends data to the server to get the information about the player and what player. if you chat in the rc. pm someone. admin message. serverflags.. just as long as your doing something in rc... so just basically you can check if the server got data from the ip that they are on (for the rc account)... and if they haven't in 20 min's then it should disconnect... |
How about letting us be able to have atleast 2 if not 3 accounts/attributes open at the same time. Esp. when you are looking at your account to help others with flag problems and lag when you forget hehe.. It becomes a royal pain in the.. well you know where =)
|
Maybe you should just hire more reliable staff.
|
Hmm, couldn't the server send a special 'ping' to each RC logged on every half an hour of so, if the RC in question then doesn't respond to that 'ping' for 5 minutes that RC is seen as not being logged on and disconnected?
|
Just get an inactivity timer, that displays something to only you in the RC chat, like: Do you want to stay on RC? Type something in the next 10 seconds to stay on RC, etc.
|
heh if it signs u off for not answering pm's then I know some certain GAT's ( who will remain nameless but we all know who they are ) will be logged off constantly!
|
Hmmm
Maybe, When the window is ontop (Selected) It will not count down. But when its int he background it will count down 20 mins or soemthing.
