Um, plz make Dude(lotsa #'s here) mod seeing as he is best fit, that i know of.
Everyone else plz post your reccomendations. :)

If this forum gets drastically more traffic in the future then a moderator may be necessary. Otherwise it is not.

I agree that he's a strong candidate. We'll have to see how things pan out; there's no point in making a mod for a slow forum (consider that we have two supermods and an admin actively moderating these boards) but if traffic picks up then it may become necessary.

Well, seeing that there's been a couple threads made today instead of an inactive mess of older threads, I think it may be reviving soon.

I agree with that, Chris. I am getting better, though :O I'm working on a better tutorial than my old one, but I need to take pics of my Graalshop, which, currently, freezes everytime you open it on this computer.

Even though it doesn't get lots of traffic, Karsh may as well be a MOD as then its one less place for a super-mod to have to mod, and then its being controlled by someone who know what they are on about.

Every moderator is a potential security risk. We shouldn't be handing them out like candies.

It's not like I can do much on a small forum, Kai :P I wouldn't do anything bad, anyways. I've always had a good reputation, I don't want to lose it.

Yes I agree this is why only 3 people on Sans will have level access. But Karsh is cool.

The potential that you would go crazy is only a small part of it. There is also the possibility that you could give out your password, be 'hacked' etc.

True, true. It hasn't happened for a while now, and why would someone hack my account? I mean, why would someone want access over the gani forums, when they could hack you or Aftershocky and get supermodship and ban random people? O_o

I am not saying that they would do it specifically for gani forum power, but that's besides the point. Still a security risk.

That is not the only issue.

Kai never say never , nothing is 100% sure. I have never been successfully hacked either but attempts are made daily. I don't expect for them to ever get thru the Security I have on my comp but one thing I can trust in nothing is impossible.

Kai, if he is a risk, so are the 40 other people on the forum leadership page, incluiding you. Give karsh mod rights guy.

I've been hacked before. Several times. When I actually noticed it, my friends Password Change and Virus Scanner came to help me. :D And my good frie..Wait, friend? My router isn't my friend. I can't turn it off, and it barely lets ANYTHING through. I can barely connect to people on AIM. I hate it. It's TOO protective.

Just an abstraction. I merely mean that it is very unlikely.

That is some horrendous logic. We already have some security risks so that makes it okay to add new ones?

That is thought out as much as I could. Anyway, Kaimestu, if everyone is a risk then why dont you just have no moderators? No Admins? Hmm? You can't run the boards without moderators and admins, and they are all risks. But the risk is limited mostly to those with no protection. Karsh is very protected. :)

Yeah, you pretty much answered your question. But we don't need moderators for every square inch of the board.

haha yeah that happens to me too...it gets kinda annoying....
but you can just go into our router and open ports when you need to connect to someone on aim...that's what i usually do..still kinda annoying though :(
