Today at playing Graal Kingdoms I really got confused.
Over 15 people think thay know me but I never heard of them.
I'm trying to RP as best as I can but it is really hard when all people come and ask if I am the real Christian.

Now don't post things like "needed this a thread?"

I just want to clear:
I am *Christian, Christian Ararewen.
I was Christian, I am Christian, I will ever be Christian.

If you know something about someone who play Graal Kingdom with my Account or Nick forum pm me.
I would be thankfull if I could get this cleared..

There are probably a million people called Christian. Lots of zealous mothers, y'see?

I think he meant that there are a ton of Christians in the world.

And these people are probably messing with you.

Could be me...I go by the name "Aran Christian Anthony of (Forest)"

Aran = King in elvish soo...if they were Forest members they most likely thought you were me x_x;'

It looks like people likes the name Christian and wants to use it. Oh well you got to live with it. Just deal with it.

In the new newbie quest stuff they say black magic is what sorcerors use and white is the divine stuff. And yes, confusing you with Chris or who/whatever is very possible.

Black=evil then? that's racist man, black mages use black magic, that doesn't make them evil, only powerful.

'black' is not a race. It may correspond to the skin color of a race, but that's purely incidental. Black is generally considered to be an evil color, and not for any racist reasons.

Dark is evil because the night is evil and you can't see when it's dark and people get afraid when they can't see. And when it's real dark it's black.

Black Mages, in terms of RPGs, are simpily people who use Black Magic. That doesn't make them evil. Nor does it make them good. They can be either way.

Black = Night = Evil. Black does not = African American does not = Evil.

Most fantasy games/movies/stories use a simple philosophy:
White Magic/Black Magic, you got our Force and it's Dark Side, all in all is usually where you have

1) White Magic, tuning into maagicaal powers and unraveling the mysteries of the elements, yada yada, to do really powerful stuff.

2) Black Magic, tapping raw power, controlling/will bending of spirits, demons, the undead, etc, doing freaky powerful stuff.

One is the zen-like 'becoming one with power' and the second is 'bending and controlling power' to one's will. It's like you cannot play a 'good guy' who owns slaves, it's contradictary to the philosophy.

In graal, it seems, as per the game is set up, white magic is god given, black magic is wizardry, but that they are titles and don't effect character's alignment and aren't meant to. So, it's understandble where people have every reason to think black wizards are evil, but it's a game and people can really play what they want how they want.
