Horse suggestion/anti-theft.
Okay, I tied my horse to a peg. When I came back, it was gone! It turned out sombody pet the horse enough for it to love them, and they took the peg. They were hugging the horse when I get back.
Make it so that other people cannot pet the horse when it is pegged. And only the owner can pick up the peg they placed. |
Jagen suggested that for a horse not to be stolen you can make a collar for it which I think is a nicer suggestion XD

Collar idea isn't bad, I guess it would be nice, and...can't you peg your horse in your house?
|
I like that collar idea. It would resolve the problem of all the horse stealers. :)
|
There should be a horse thief collar, like, it latches onto their throat if they try stealing your horse, and then they can't move for like a day...or until the owner sets them free >:] joy.
|
Yes, and all the horse stealers would feel ashamed of themselves. :P
|
But of course, due to RPing and such, if your agility level is high enough, you should be able to avoid being caught, and RP the nimble thief
|
The idea I had was if it likes anyone more than 75%, it likes nobody else more than 75%. If it gets hungry, it likes the owner less and less until at the time it would normally starve it's at about 70% - giving you 5% of wiggle room to save abandoned pets, but you have to really neglect your horse for it to go free.

Yes, that does get annoying. You are hugging a horse, slash it, and it hates you. Slashing your horse or pet shouldn't make the pets love for you go down. What if your fighting someone and you hit it a bunch, then it hates you. -_-
Better idea would be as the horses' con goes down the horses love for you goes down as well. When your horse has 50%, it can then be claimed by anyone else. |
I was chopping trees while my horse decided to walk between the tree and my axe... x_x
Anyway, what about that: when you hatch a horse, you get a piece of the egg, let's say with a hoove-imprint or whatever, in your inventory. It signifies that you own the horse, like it always follows the one with it's shell. Also, the name of the one who hatched it should be saved and displayed in the right-click-infos. Now you could even trade the piece of shell, and whoever has it is concidered the owner - so nobody could really steal your horse, maybe abduct it, but never claim it as his own... Oh, and you shouldn't be able to sell the shellpiece in shops... no, no eating your pets x_X |
Blah, pegging your horse to the ground should automatically protect it from theft. I mean you tied it to the ground, it's yours, you own it. Nobody should be able to take it when you have it tied down. :\
My horse also got stolen, I think it's pretty crappy that people steal horses. I mean it takes forever to hug them to 75% anyway, just get your own damn horse. It's just downright cruel to steal a horse, especially one that is pegged down and obviously has an owner. |
IRL, you can remove the peg.

On another note, yeah, I think you shouldn't be able to remove a peg that isn't yours, and the pegs really need to be debugged, they're very laggy x.x |
THIS is what thief class should be for, people say thieves suck, so this could be what they can do, so, a thief can steal a horse, or at least remove the peg, then be able to break into those NPC houses that say "That door is locked" and should have like...a 500% better chance of stealing working for them against enemies.
