Enviroment Engine
 

It would be nice to see like a "Enviroment Engine" built into G2K2
for instance /time would display "G2K2" or Graal Time this would be useful in the fact players could say lets have a guild or clan meeting at 3:00pm GK TIME and then along with the time system there would be night time and daytime and such time periods would effect lighting in the most realistic manner. Then seasons would be nice like Winter, Spring, Fall etc. but dont have it a fast pace like some games have the seasons in real time so its april now it would be spring... etc.

and then the enviroment could effect other variables like rain for instance would make mud puddle or alter terrain temporarily until it was sunny and you could make the dirt muddy and eiuther slower in crossing mud or slippy etc.

You realize it's not spring on the other side of the world, right?

Adding a date feature would be nice too...no figures, just "sun,mon,tue" etc

This was suggested, partly, for day/night effects, but this would take a while to do, since you need to make new things for everything, and weather effects would cause slowdown, but hey, maybe it might not, like, maybe only a few levels at a time would experience it (like a storm only covers part of the world, not the whole thing.)

I was thinking as the day goes by you see it getting brighter where you are, and you can see the shadows on trees and houses change hehe.

Yes when there is some need for day/night things we can possible add them. We have not added them before because they slow down the game a little bit, and had no practical use. The shadow thing is easier to with the new GraalC++. I don't know about the date thing though, i doubt people would use the Graal time instead of real time for announcing events etc.

I was thinking some things found with seeds could only be grown at certain times of the year, certain pets would go into hiding, certain gods could give higher bonuses for a specific season, ect....
