Whoever made casting spells only possible with wands forgot to think of one thing.....How the hell are we suppose to cast remove curse on ourself if we equip a cursed sword! What makes this worse is the fact that someone else can't cast it on you nor could it be casted on an unequipped item. This is where the problem becomes major...what if you equip a cursed sword and the God you pray to does not have remove curse? Well, quite frankly...you're screwed unless of course you want to change God's and go from lv12-lv8 wisdom ^_^

Please fix this soon -_-

Note: This almost happened to me...luckily the God I pray to removes curses when I pray at his altar.

Someone else CAN cast remove curse on you. And here is a hint, make sure the weapon isn't cursed, duh x.x

I've tried. It only works on the caster. The caster can't cast it on other people.

Hm, well, as I stated elsewhere before, this can pose a threat if you're magic level isn't high enough, and you can't use magic/have equipped a weapon that is cursed so you can't equip a wand/don't have praying skill to uncurse.

uh... regarding the remove curse spell... have you tried MARKING the cursed sword?

...if you equipped the sword and thus need remove curse, you can't unequip and mark your sword so you can equip your wand so you can uncurse it, yo.

Such a flaw...it should be fixed soon, but, Tyhm, I don't think it matters if you equipped the weapon or not.

unequiped weapons can be marked... otherwise improve weapon damadge scrolls would not work! jeebus

Yes it's a problem, normally the need of wand is mainly made so that other people can see that you are a magician, but for some spells it makes it impossible to use, will try to fix that (make it depend on the spell if you need a wand).

In my opinion, I think that you should only need a wand until a certain magic level, because at that point, your magic is so powerful, you don't need to use a wand to transmit your magic powers through.

i have a very good idea for speells, instead of replacing the weapon why not replace the shield? instead of holding a shield a spell caster must hold a book but u cannot use a melee wepaon while the book is out so that COULD fix the problem

You were contradicting what others said except you claimed they were right, thus contradicting yourself, so it's like running in circles while tying yourself up in a large spiderweb.

So if you can't hold a weapon while holding the book, what difference would that make? As it is now, you can't hold a wand while you hold a weapon - your way, you won't be able to hold a book while holding a weapons.

I'd rather say the wand should only be necessary for attack spells, for as Stefan said people should know when a sorcerer is about to attack them. If someone't shooking at you, you want to see his gun, but if he'd just using the back end of his gun to hammer a nail in the wall you wouldn't mind not seeing it. Err... okay, bad example, anyway, who cares if someone casts a spell on himself, so there wouldn't be a need for a wand, maybe just a light to see that he did something... I better stop here before people who got my point start to lose it again...

Well, I thought that the prayer removed your own cursed status, because when you get cursed by someone, using the curse spell, that is supposed to make your gods "voununable" restances affect you, however, they aren't like that for GK, you automatically are stuck with them when you join the cult.

I never said you said that, only that you're missing the point entirely - I'm saying if you equipped a cursed sword, you can't equip a wand, regardless of what you mark.
