Limits...
To make this game...better... and balanced...
limit the classes... So some classes cannot learn other classes stuff. Like Sorcerers can't learn piety spells, but could pray. Priests could learn some sorcerer spells, the basic projectiles. Warrior's, cannot learn woodsman, cannot learn summons. Barbarians, can't learn ANY SPELLS, but can pray. Thieves can do all of these,...since they suck so bad. |
No, we want to balance the classes, and we want to do it by raising other classes, not limiting them...

Agreed. Also, I think there should be caps on skills.
Make it so, say, a Barbarian's INT can't go over his strenght. I mean, having a Barbarian that's smarter than he is strong? Come on, people, this should be RP! |
I think that classes shouldn't just be determined by choosing it. I think that it should depend on what your stats are, that determines your class. For instance say you have, oh 15 in every stat, you will be classified as a <name here>. If you have 14 in some stats, and 16 in others, you will be classified as a <name here> so that people can stop complaining about this and that.

DX has a very very good idea...I think that we should be able to select our stats in the beginning, the way it is now, some people have a net value of stats more than that of others :(

I love it when Selzar makes a thread with suggestions in it but doesn't put it in the suggestions forum.
Anyway, no, I finally realised this would be bad because... Warriors can use a talisman to focus the magic and cast spells Priests and Wizards can both use tools and weapons. I mean, who cant? Barbarians can use talisman to focus magic. There are many different combinations, and when you think of it logically, they all work out. The only think that makes each class different is at the early levels. |
We need frogloks.

Last chance, Selzar.

Not exactly sure if its illegal to cotinue a mis topic thread but heck, you can take me to internet small claims court.
Anyways, I believe the stats should correspond to your class. You could look at it this way, when you pick a class its like your character since a child has been training for whatever class you have selected and is now ready to journey onward when you start the game. In addition, these tailsmen or whatever you call them should give you very limited abilities, not full. Otherwise we get this class overlapping problem. Again, my level removal idea still stands with me. Leveling is the main cause of horrible role playing. |
Leveling stays.
We don't want another 2k1. |

2k1 sucks.
